Needed to transfer some stuff from an old imac to a new one. Used this after removing the drive since the old mac was inoperable. Worked flawlessly

Installed an SSD hard drive on my laptop. I didn't want to reinstall Windows and rebuild all my files etc... I found this alternative and it did the trick for me!

This is by far, the easiest way to clone your hard driver. I have try the ones from Amazon and those don't work, they will not clone your operating system.

Software worked on the 2nd try but I think I didn't let it finish the fist time all the way. It did say zero but didn't say complete so that was probably my fault. Other than that worked great.

I fully recommend this to anyone either changing out a laptop drive or replacing one. My laptop drive was failing miserably and with this wonder I was able to ghost a new drive and be up and fully functional in a weekend.

I do wish it was a straight data transfer cable and did not have to use the included software. Otherwise works fine

Cable worked well but software did not had to use Samsung software for Samsung 860 evo ssd

This cable worked to backup my hard drive for transfer and the software had an immediate update. It loses a star or two because the software does not update the screen when running the backup (move another window over it, then away and the percent number will update). Also, be sure that you need this cable, as it is non-returnable. For me, I ended up deciding to just do a clean install afterall... so, now I have this cable that I did not really need and will probably never use again.

THe software worked like poo. But the hard ware worked like a charm. Not sure what the software is even in the package for.

Software for Macs isnt really included and the recommended software didn't work. Had to download a 3rd party software to transfer files.

I purchased the cable to clone one SSD to another so that I could increase my hard drive space without losing any programs. The cable worked great and it doesn't require external power.

The cable allowed me to do what I needed to create a new OS disk. Included DVD could be more intuitive.

It didn't do what I thought it would do and I can't return it once it's been opened. I hope I can use it in the future

The software (downloaded or on supplied disk) failed to create a bootable MBR. The computer fails to boot with a "cloned" HDD. Unable to use other software to clone the drive since the target drive cannot be recognized by the operating system other than the Drive Manager in Windows.

My Apricorn ASW-USB3-25 Data Transfer Cable - SATA - 2.50" - USB - SATA was just what I needed. As well as marked down at a fair price considering it will be useful for me in the future also.

Does just what it says on the box. Easy to use. I do wish there was an option to have it plug in and use a desktop (3.5" drive) as well.

I wasn't sure about this transfer/clone method but it worked very easily. Read the instructions, I had a small issue at the beginning but quickly remedied and cloned my 256 Gb drive to a 480 in minutes.

For someone who had never switched out a hard drive much less had to copy one to another this product was awesome.

I followed the instructions and the upgrade went smoothly. The only problem is that the cable had "notebook drives only". I did it on a desktop.
