There are cheapest options on Amazon than this data transfer cable and can always get free data transfer software.

This USB to SATA drive cable allowed me to clone the HDD drive on my laptop to a super fast SSD drive. The process was fast. It worked without a hitch. I will keep for future work

Not much to say. It's a solid cable/connector. Just open the box and connect. Feels very sturdy and has a mice wieght to it. Some may want a longer cable if using it with har to reach tower. No issues to report.

You can use the supplied disk or the software from the company you purchased the SSD or HDD from. They are available online for less.

I needed the connector to transfer data from my laptop hard drive to a new SSD because the old drive was giving lousy performance. The upgraded drive made the laptop useable again.

Good but there are another cheaper options, lot of money but I need it, you can find other options for less money.

The cable design is heavy duty and works great. I was unable to use their migration software. I ended up using Samsung clone software which came with my SSD.

Mother board failed on my laptop and I was able to remove the hard drive and just plug this cable in to the hard drive and usb port on my new laptop to get the files I needed. Shows up as another drive.

It simple to used to copy your old hard to a new one. (Windows )..but, you must format the hard drive to NFT ..to copy..for Mac used you software called Carbon copy for mac

At first it didn't work. It kept stopping at 80% twice. So I did a disk scan. It found an error on the drive. After I fix the error then it transferred. What a relief. So far no problems!

I have used this on several computers I have upgraded, it works well when upgrading the partition size and keeping the original data and operating system in tact.

I have used only one and it works great. The only bad thing is that the length is too short, specially for Desktops. Works perfect on laptops.

I bought this because I replaced a friends hard drive with a solid state drive. It allowed me to transfer their entire operating system and drive to the new one.

This cable works great. This works for all laptop hard drives. If you don't know this fyi all drives in laptops are the same. Just plug it on and it comes up as a drive. Great tool

The salesperson gave me the wrong piece. It doesn't work on the hard drive I need it to work on.

I returned this because it wasn't what I wanted and couldn't do what I needed it to do for my hard drive.

Would connect to my HD but I couldn't get access to the drive bc of protection? I guess it would work?
