I needed this to copy data from an old hard drive to a new one. It plugged in and worked nicely.

i purchased this to use the old drive as an back up. it does what it supposed to.

I ugraded to an Solid State Drive, I still needed a way to access my old laptop drive's stuff. This was the missing link. It was truely Plug-N-Play!

Haven't used the Apricorn Date Transfer Cable. Buy it only if you need it.

Much nicer that the unit is just one cable as compared to older units I have that you have seperate cables to plug into the power and sata. Not a single problem

I bought this because I got a 1tb Toshiba branded SSD for one of my laptops I was trying to upgrade. I installed the software but it cannot recognize the USB connected SSD. Since it was a software product, Best Buy does not accept return once the packaging was opened. Best Buy is partly at fault with this because their associate said that it will work. On my part, I should have done research first. I got a good deal with the SSD drive but wasted my money on this product. I just used the Windows Recovery procedure and used a disk image to make things work. So, I know that the Toshiba SSD works and THIS APRICOT SOFTWARE DOES NOT!! BEWARE of what Best Buy associate may tell you about software items and BEWARE OF THIS PRODUCT!!!! WASTE OF MONEY!!!!

Can't adequately review this product as the hard drive was corrupt and, therefore, unable to use for its intended purpose.

The unit comes with an information and software CD, which I didn't use. Connection was simple, straightforward and successful.
