Software was useless
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Cable worked fine but to transfer to an ssd the software took 8 hours to tell me it could not do it because of a partition size. This was after it checked all my settings. Just get the cable there are plenty of cheaper options for software if you look that work faster.

What I needed

Is not an upgrade kit

Would probably work great if you don't have a back-up partition also on the drive and your current software is making back-ups to that partition. Long story short, the software cannot back up a single partition.
