You don’t need this Apricorn - Data Transfer for Apple products , it won’t works anyway if you try it like I did . However , it works perfectly for Windows PC.

I cant seem to find out how it works. I bought this because my computer crashed and i needed to take out the hard drive and save all the images and music that was on the HD but i cant really get it to do its job.

nothing else to be said that i have not expressed already

Carefully follow directions and it worked very well.

There wasn't anything on the package that really told me what it was for rather then a vague description that kind of pushed me into buying it. The package was open box so I couldn't return it and it didn't do or even work for the HDD drive I tried to connect it to using my computer. Just not a very well described item or easily returnable.

Beware with converting from standard to SSD drives. Not sure if it was the size difference as a factor, but this software did not work.

I think I need to do more reading. I was getting this device to try and wipe old hard drives, but they didn't read when plugged in. My fault for buying a part for a different purpose, I guess!

BB employee said, if it didn't solve my problem, it was returnable. It didn't solve my problem and it is NOT returnable. Not the first time I have received incorrect information from a BB employee.

Well, if you are looking for just a way to connect a SATA HDD externally, the cable works, but the software did not work as intended.

High quality cable and disc would be good if I had actually needed it. Not worth the money as you can find any ssd to USB cable online for much cheaper but I needed one at the moment.

It did connect to the hard drive, however, I could not use the CD instruction information as my laptop lacks the CD reader.

Purchased this to upgrade my iMac HDD to SSD. Cloning the drive didn’t work but I still needed the cable so I didn’t complain. This is a one time use item.

Not useable to transfer info from HDD drives those you need power. this might be better used for transferring from SSD to SSD

I simply installed the software with my new hardrive to swap and it did not work most likely will not work with older computers.

I was told how easy this "transfers" everything from my old hard drive to my new Mac. I'm no IT guy but I have it a go. The software wouldn't download half got transferred, a bunch of duplicate etc. in the end it acted like a giant jump drive and I drug everything over little by little. Now my iPhoto's is a duplicate app and if I merge and delete one it take the photos with it. Should have paid to have it done right.

They should have a HUGE indicator that this device will not work with Desktop harddrive, and that it will only work with laptop hard drives. This is a limitation with the hardware, being that it only supports 2.5 watt power connections, where desktop hard drives use 5.0 watts.

I have not had a problem, with it yet. Feel it was reasonably priced. And was kept, well in stock, for chance of "run on item demand."

only works within your os, your pc will not see it on boot if you are trying to use recovery software like hirens.

First time use, wasn't the easiest to understand how to use it, purchase may have been unneeded as I don't have another computer to transfer the data to.
