I never could get it to work. Im sure it was something wrong with my old computer.

It is quite confusing determining how to use this to clone your OS AND MAKE SURE TO DOWNLAOD THE FIRMWARE IF YOU ARE USING WINDOWS 10!

Item was not what I needed but Geek Squad did find me something else I could try. I am sure if this is what I really needed to use it would have been very easy to use. .

I can't truly rate this item as I was not able to use it. Unfortunately Best Buy Sales rep told me this would work to grab files off of my old desktop computer hard drive BUT when i tried to use it, it didn't recognize the disc at all. This is ONLY good for laptop drives. It's not enough power to work with standard desktop hard drives.

Cable is good quality. Please ice was a little high. Necessary for cloning a SSD/HDD

This cable was unrecognizable on my computer so I didn’t get to use it and returned it

I used the cable but not the software, I used the online software that Crucial provided.

would not recommend this. creates partitions on SSD that you can't delete and doesn't clone the drive where the new one will function.

I was able to connect my SATA drive to the new computer, but the software disk wouldn't install on my Win 8 machine, and the drive was only momentarily recognized, then it disappeared. Maybe the drive was bad, but the software turned out to be useless on Win 8.

I can not get the item to work. And its not because I don't know computers or electronic plug and play, no way thinking about returning this item

I installed this on my laptop to transfer files to a new Hard drive. After about 6 attempts the Apricorn - SATA Wire 3.0 Hard Drive Upgrade Kit never worked.

The sales representative provided me with a data cable system that did not meet my needs. I was able to return for a full refund with no questions asked.

Employee didn't know about it and it doesn't work. When I asked how it worked she said all you do is plug it in. However you still need a power source to the external hard drive and she didn't know. I tried to return it but they wouldn't let me. It's a WASTE of $25. I ordered something that actually worked from Amazon and it was cheaper

Disappointed, the software is not what was expected old and outdated

I had to run the install 5 times without success. After 4 days of finding workarounds I managed to get my laptop back up and running. The instructions are fairly poor and the customer support from the company leaves something to be desired. I've been around computers for a few decades and i know quite a bit of repairs and tricks. So user malfunction wasn't part of the problem.

It was my first time using a data transfer cable. Very easy to use for my MacBook transfer.

I was not very happy with this but that’s just me, maybe you will love this.

I bought this data transfer cable to send information on a new hdd that I want to swap out with a new one and everything seems to work perfect, I follow the instructions but weeks after the process I find one that the data transfer cable miss some important features and it turn this into a problem that I end it up getting another pc, not worth the time and money, try to find something better

This worked pretty well but had a few hiccups at the beginning. Needed to work out a small learning curve. But it worked fine.
