I wanted to get files of an old laptop hard drive that was removed from the laptop this is not the product you need and this cable will only work with their software

Sales person said I could use this to transfer data but I was sold a product that is not compatible with my computers. Waste of money for me.

Did not work for me, no power to the hard drive. I was trying to go from a PC HP desk top hard drive to a HP all-in-one.

Worked fine, program that came with it didn't work with our Mac book, kept rejecting transfer. Had to use a third party. I would recommend the cable but program, no.

The software with different to use and even after that it was still glitchy

Comes with obsolete software not update for windows 10. The store charges $10 more than it's listed for on the website. The cord dies work with 3rd party software.

Could not get this to work for me. Followed directions but just would not work for me.

Tried to get to connect hard drive would never show up or work. Could not get refund on it either. So now stuck with a cable that doesn't do anything

The cable worked fine but the EZGig software does not support Windows 10. Software has not been updated in 3 years when I called customer support.

Thought I would buy this and use it to clone the original drive when i installed the new hard drive. Well after many, many attempts(5) I gave up. Constant failures saying there was a problem (Clone Failed Read Error 1)' with the disk and the tech support was not very good either. I ended up using the drive manufacturer program and worked first time with no issues. I would recommend 1-as if the drive manufacturer has a program to duplicate the drive 2-just buy a cable to go from your usb to the drive

I'm not sure if I received a defective item or what, but it flat out wouldn't work for me. And I know how to use these tools. I purchased a different brand and it worked fine.

Software won't work with Win10, but still a decent USB 3.0 cord. Requires newer software for modern operating systems. Overpriced for just a cord though.

I have two laptops and a desktop and this product never worked on any of them. After three attempts, I gave up. It didn't support the desktop at all and you have to examine the package in great detail to make sure that you meet their stringent criteria for a laptop. It did not support any desktop and it did not support one of my two laptops. My second laptop which was fairly clean and new wouldn't recognize it either. It never did work for me which was frustrating and I gave up. Theoretically, if it had worked, it would have been a great bargain.

Purchased for my desktop, to find out that it is for laptops only. The worker at Bestbuy didn't know what he was telling me to use. Returned after days trying to figure it out. APRICORN customer support never responded to my questions. Junk!

Took home and attempted to format some hard drives and no functions worked.

I purchased this cable to clone a hard drive for replacement by a solid state drive. I am not a dummy, can follow instructions and have worked on computers for a number of years. This cable did NOT work. I was not able to get a connection. I took the cable back to Best Buy but the Geek Squad would not test it nor give me my money back. Bad PR. I bought a competitor's cable at another computer store and was able to complete the clone and replace my hard drive.

I was hoping to transfer files from my old dead tower PC (Vista) to a new laptop (Windows 10) after removing the hard drive from the tower PC. Not sure why it didn't work as advertised, but my laptop was unable to communicate it. For whatever reason, it wouldn't do anything I needed it to do. I returned it and bought a new power supply for the tower and got the hard drive to work just fine and going a different direction for file transfers.

This product did not work at all. It did not recognize my SSD drive so I was not able to transfer information to upgrade to a larger drive.

This was not the best to use. very hard to configure when trying to use a few different systems.

Had problems with it when hooking it up to my SATA drive. Returned the item.
