I got this with the Sandisk 480 GB SSD. For $25, it is well worth it. The software is downloable for free from their website if you don't have a CD drive. The cable and software worked flawlessly.

Works well, compatible with windows 8.1/10 with good transfer speeds. Only issue is that the cable is pretty small.

Regardless of the negative comments I bought it to clone the 1TB Primary Disk of my HP Envy to a Samsung 850 EVO 500GB. After the copy, I removed the HDD, inserted the SSD and powered on the laptop. It complained that the disk was damaged so I powered off/on again and VOILA, Windows 8 started just fine. With the HDD 5 minutes were required to activate Windows, now it takes just 20 seconds.

My HD drive crashed one day and I never backed up my information. I thought I had lost all the files saved in that drive. I asked a friend about a way to get back the files but everyone told me to give up. I decided to buy this thing out of nowhere, without thinking what it might do or if it would help me recover everything. I took my HD drive out of the laptop and it worked.

Had trouble cloning original HDD to new SSD. Tried several solutions. Emailed support and received same day response.

Nothing to install and use. Works as advertised. I was able to clone and install an new laptop hard drive in about a half hour. The way it labels the cloned drive can be confusing but it works out just right without having to make any changes after installation of the new drive. Upgraded two laptop hard drives in one evening without a hitch.

Works fines as long as destination drive is at least as large as source drive. Successfully cloned SATA drive to SSD, which then booted fine in windows.

After my old laptop crapped out me, I needed to transfer data from my old harddrive to my new PC. Took awhile to get the software up and running. Eventually was able extract all of my old data. Overall, good product and served its purpose for my needs.

Purchase on salesman's recommendation to be able to transfer files from broken laptop to a new laptop. Was not sure on doing transfer how bringing over all files at once would impact already installed software on new computer (i.e. Microsoft Office), so manually selected files. No issues encountered.

Used it to clone a SSD. It was fast and very easy.

It just worked. Windows 7 seemed to have the right drivers. I swapped out my laptop drive for an SSD. I plugged the old drive in and was able to see files in Windows Explorer with no drama. Didn't need to use the software on the CD so I can't comment on that. Cable seems sturdy enough.

This product saved the day when our laptop crashed and we thought we lost all of the data off the hard drive. It was easy to use and we were able to transfer all info off the old hard drive directly to a new laptop. It was money well spent .

i just cant believe what i just found. i spend a day looking browsing around how to clone after so much video i seen of from youtube i was complete lost and i even didn't know how to start. i gave-up i was about to purchase a software online so can be able to clone. my headlight brain bin i said let me check online at best buy i said let me try this "wow" bestbuy great product great item and it comes with own software to clone. perfect buy... definitely this is what it needed for your new SSD installed. buy it... i installed my samsung SSD and everything came up perfect wow my laptop is running like a beast fast........ im so happy... im fixing now my wife laptop.

Swapped in a new SSD in my older Sony Viao laptop. Geek Squad wanted $200 AND I would need to track down OE WIn7 CD's. For $20 this worked GREAT, no issues at all.

I have a great computer but it has two drives and the SSD, while quick, was too small. I bought a 1TB SSD and cloned my SSD (containing the C Drive/OS) seamlessly to the new drive with this cable and software. It was superquick and with a little help from my son, I removed the old SSD, plugged in the new one, started up the computer and it ran beautifully. Only difference is that the SSD is now 8x larger. I am thrilled. My son was skeptical but is now impressed.

Great tool to help duplicate to increase the size of hard drives on laptops.

Bought the Intel 180 GB 530 drive. Intels cloning software did not work for me and used this adapter and software without a hitch. This made installing my SSD super easy.

Easy to use design just plug in your laptop hard drive and plug it into your computer. Worked great backing up old Windows computers on my Mac.
