Bought this adapter to upgrade/clone a Samsung SSD for my laptop and it worked perfectly.

Copies large hard drives fast. Works well for copying a larger disk to a smaller SSD.

Works just as it should!!! No complaints!!! Used it to transfer data from computer!!!

Great item. Worked perfectly to pull data off my old hard drive when the computer crashed.

I haven't successfully used this yet but if it worked it would be a great way to transfer data. I was hoping to use it with an operating system transfer but have been unable to do so. I tried swapping a 256 gb mSATA drive to a 2 tb drive but it wouldn't work. So no luck yet

Easily allows me to transfer data between my old hard drive and my new one. Works great!

After installing the software it would freeze everytime i tried to ghost my hard drive onto my new ssd. So i ditched the software and found some freeware online. Then in about 10 minutes the drive was ghosted. The connector works great just the software is less than 1 star.

This works excellent for a notebook hard drive but do not expect it to work on a desktop drive. It will fit but it will not power it up. It says in the instructions that a desktop drive requires two types of power and this device only supplies one type of power for the notebook drive.

Love this cloning device as it made transferring info/op system from a traditional hd to a ssd super simple. as I bought a netbook with no optical drive, I had to download the operating software, but it worked flawlessly. Perfect product in my opinion!

Used to replace my computer's conventional hard drive with ssd. Took some time to learn, not the most intuitive instructions. A solid state hard drive is much faster, probably the best upgrade for an older laptop.

It worked extremely well with my Mac... My windows machine was a bit more complicated.

I should have done this 2 years ago. I am updating all my laptops and desktops to SSD's. The Apricorn cable and software works perfectly. The CD that comes with the cable lets you clone the HD you choose to the SATA drive connected to the cable. No booting or bios modification or bootup intercept. You put the CD in, elect to run the cloning software from the CD, pick the target and source drives and say go. The process is smooth and works perfectly. Once cloned, I installed the SSD in my laptop and everything worked perfectly . I have successfully upgraded two laptops and a desktop computer so far.

Good for use if you have another hdd you need to get data out of or to use as backup

I had an older Lenova with an Intel i7 processor and 16GB of ram. The old school 1TB standard hard drive was acting up and taking 8-10 minutes just to boot up. I had a Sandisk Extreme Pro 256GB sitting around and wanted to use it as I don’t need a big hard drive in this laptop. I tried everything to swap drives via backups and other software, but they wanted $69 or more for the full version to clone to a smaller harddrive. I purchased this thinking it probably wouldn’t work. It however worked perfectly and now the computer boots up in 8-10 seconds! Extremely impressed and very satisfied with the product and features.

This is the cable you need folks! Plug into your USB port, with your new SSD (or any other SATA connected drive) plugged into the other end, and clone your installed drive to the new one. So easy, a caveman could do it!
