i buy this product when i upgrade my pc from a HDD to a SSD and i was kinda scared of how to use it especially i didnt wanna lose my files, but the instructions are pretty clear and straightforward and is easy to use. even if you need to use one time and it complete the job one tool like this is good to have :)

I picked this transfer cable up to move the data from my primary HDD to a new SSD drive. I wasn't aware that the SSD came with a program that made using the cable unnecessary. I decided to keep the cable for emergencies. It's a good bit of kit to keep in your toolbox.

Migrated my desktop from a small SanDisk SSD to large Samsung evo and couldn't be happier. Took just a few minutes to do the migration. Only ran into one unexpected thing; all my google fill in's won't work. I have to sign into every site. Cant find anything on the internet about what caused this or how to fix it.

I used this device when I upgraded the drives on my Mac and PC to SSDs. It worked great and the software was easy to use.

The cable that came in this package is great. Gives me the option to clone my drives easily. Software is ok, I found better online. But the cable is invaluable. You can keep this cable plugged in and use the drive as a USB drive when no internal area is available.

I don't know about the software since I have my own version of Acronis, but the Cable works like a champ on any 2.5" Drive.

This thing really gets the job done. The cd gives you complete instructions and setup information. Won't go wrong here.

Purchased a new SSD drive from Best Buy to speed up my computer. The software I purchased to clone the old hard drive created a master boot record issue on the hew hard drive.

I used this cable to clone my old HDD in my laptop to a new SSD. Is USB 3.0 to SATA. Worked fine. After cloning my drive just open up the laptop and swapped in my new ssd. Also works great for plugging in old SSD's to use as portable storage.

Instead of paying Best Buy to save my files this data cable let me do it at home. I saved all my flies and programs and was able to transfer them to my new laptop. The cable also makes it possible for me to use the old hard drive for storing future files. A definite plus!

For the money, one of the easiest ways to upgrade your laptop to a larger HDD or upgrade to a SDD. Run the program in Windows or boot to it and start the process. Easy for beginners. Just point and click to answer simple questions. Cheers!

it did the job to clone HDD from laptop to new SSD but use only once and throw away, unless you want to save for 10 years later when you buy a new drive that's probably not going to be compatible with. Would be nice to come with a driver that makes it capable to access storage on spare drives. Follow my advice and buy en external drive enclosure that clones drives or something like that that you can keep using for accessing drive storage.

i had a laptop with an internal hard drive crashing. decided to clone my crashing hard drive to an old hard drive i had on hand. so went to Best Buy online and found exactly what i needed. ordered online for in-store pickup. everything went smooth and the product performed great!!!

Upgraded my 2012 Unibody Macbook Pro with a new SSD using this cable. Did the transfer before i removed old drive and it was pretty quick. I didnt even use CD. Thanks best buy for being my local source Not much for online shopping

This product was recommended by an IT tech when he found out my level of expertise and it saved me lots of money and worked very easily. Just remove your old HD and plug in the adapter then the USB cable into your new laptop and you can pull the data off the old to the new. (This is assuming the old HD is still good)

Bought this to go with a new SanDisk SSD. Made the cloning process easy from the old hard over to the new SSD.
