My review shouldn't be read as 'harsh," It's a reasonable product that does as it claims it will. I believe it should have been less expensive, but it's on par with the cost of other devices like it. It's a pretty niche device but if you need one, if you do anything technical, if you replace your own internal drive and want to be sure you're not forgetting anything before you pack the original drive away, get this. I wouldn't pay more than twenty dollars, so if you find it for more than that, pass. Competing products at the 35 to 40 dollar range have more connection options and offer power which opens up 3.5 inch drives too.

This is a data lifesaver. If your pc fails to light up, this cable can retrieve anything you'd like to remove off your hard drive before you send the pc off for repairs.

Needed a transfer cable to get content off an old drive and on to a new computer works as intended. The subtraction of a star was that the best buy I bought it from sold it as new and when I got home I realized that it was used.

I was skeptical of how well and how fast this product would work. Only because of how inexpensive and simple the software and tools were. I was able to clone my complete hard drive in only and hour, and it worked flawlessly when I reinstalled my new 960GB SSD in my laptop.

Bought this to install the Samsung SSD I bought thru BB online services. My fault for not reading close enuff the ssd didn't come with a data migration cable . This worked perfectly with Samsung's data migration software that comes with the ssd.

I use this to flash drives pretty frequently.. so much easier and faster compared to usb boot disks. I didn’t use the software that came with it as there are plenty of free apps out there (and I don’t have a CD drive :))

Seems to work OK with saving data for a HDD replacement for Laptop. Software is easy to use, and gives good directions. Good price, cheaper than a SATA enclosure for sure, but the enclosure may have other uses. I liked it. Good to have when you do simple work on Laptops.

Cable is short but well built and should last forever. Can honestly say I didn't use the software opting for the SSD manufacturers data migration software instead.

I use this ALL the time and its awesome! One small cable. I put my hdd's in a neoprene case to protect them and push/pull data all the time. Use it on my OS X (macbook with the Retina) and it is great! No extra drivers required. If you even think you need one, get it! You wont be disappointed.

I also bought a Rosewill - the rose will did not recognize a drive. this Software and Cord worked great on everything - clone disk. You always get free with the WD drives but this CD was there and I used it.

Never just swapped out my hard drive before. This tool made it easy! Instructions were easy to follow. Installation was quick and easy. It took more time taking apart my laptop to get to the hard drive than using this tool to clone my hard drive. Love this product!

It is very easy to use, just plug it up and start the cd.

If your switching from a hard drive to a ssd. This is a must have product. It helped make my transition from one hard drive to another easy. Highly recommend ssd drivers for old or new computers/laptops even xbox one and playstation 4 as well.

I'm a novice IT guy, but this software is very easy to follow and use. Package does not include instructions for Mac, but there is a web address. Cloned a Macbook Pro HD and changed it out in less than 2 hours. Most of that time was waiting on the cloning to occur.

I cloned my hard drive in laptop onto a new solid state drive and then swapped out the drives in under 45 minutes, with 300GB of data moved. Very fast, no problems. Follow the included instructions and use the provided software and you will be up and running in no time.

I like the shirt that I bought. The shirt seemed true to size.

Great for working with 2.5 inch laptop drives. It does fit 3.5 inch drives, but does not supply enough power to have them spin up. Works great, did not have to install any drivers from CD for base operations.

It is okay considering it only does SATA. Need to make sure when transferring that the plug stays in the hard drive. Following the additional instructions is fairly easy.

Item works well better than the typical case jacket type of shell.
