This is a bare bones way to attach an internal drive as a USB drive. Not a pretty design (clearly not an Apple product) but it does the job. I didn't need to use the software.

This is the easiest way to copy a hard drive! You don't have to have the exact same size hard drive or SSD, This program will make it work!

bought this hoping it might let me work with a hard drive I had to pull out of the lap top. Hard drive was dead so this ended up being something that I don't need at this time. Might use it later. Just another cable in the bag for now.

I needed this cord to retrieve data from the hard drive of my now defunct 10 year old Macbook. The plug-in worked. And the cord was also on sale so much the better for me.

If you are cloning SATA drives this is a must have in the toolbox! Software is easy to understand and walkthrough and data transfer with USB 3.0 is great.

Compact, no external power supply needed, and a fast transfer. Didn't use so I can speak to the included software bundle. However, this cable beats all of the competition for speed, reliability, and size!

Picked this up to transfer (clone) 5400 rpm hard drive to ssd drive to install on older laptop. Worked like a charm. Same price as Amazon, but able to pick up same day at the store instead of waiting for delivery.

Does what it's meant to do, learned about this item from a relative and glad I bought it, was ready to ditch a portable Seagate hard drive thinking it crashed, took it out of the cover and works great with this.

Allowed me to access the data on my old hard drive. :-)

Must have if you are a do it your self tech. I can easily update computers to keep up with ever expanding storage needs. This cable also comes with very handle software to make an easy process easier.

Was installing an SSD at the same time upgrading to windows 10. I just cloned the spinning drive with Windows 7 onto the SSD The old drive served as a full backup, allowing me to fearlessly upgrade to 10.

exactly what I needed. Unique cable find but needed for data transfer in this case a very large digital file. Worked perfectly

This is a great product to Transfer Data. Very glad that I bought it. Very user friendly. Have used it a lot since I bought it. Never crashed once. 3.0 USB is really fast. Highly recommend this product.
