I had a hard time trying to figure out how to get my files off of my computers internal hard drive but went to best buy and the associate knee exactly what I needed and this product worked great!

I needed to recover my data from my hard drive when the graphics went on my computer. It was simple to connect and copy the data off the old drive.

needed to move data from hdd to ssd and worked as required. I did not use the softare included however have no reason to believe it would not work as adverrtised

Works on all 2.5 drives. Quick and easy. If you run into trouble, right click computer and choose manage, go to drives and if it shows off-line, right click on off-line and choose to go on-line and badda-bing!

We were able to transfer data from 2 broken laptops. Best Buy matched price we found from other online store.

This was my first time and the instructions worked great. I had one glitch where a file did not transfer but going through the process again and everything worked great.

This product worked as advertised, the set up was easy as 1, 2 , 3 and my files were transferred from the old hard drive to my new computer, I would highly recommend this item.

The cable worked fine for backups, but the CD that came with it, would not boot on 2 different PC (different manufacturer even). Could run software from operating system, but you can't do a 'verify' that way.

Have bought this 3 times, and used it on 5 machines... Make sure you pay attention when you assign the source and destination drives, and it's like falling out of a boat, and hitting water...

Got the job done and worked with Windows 10. However, I would recommend downloading the latest release first.

Worked great exactly what we needed to transfer everything to the new harddrive. Couldn't of been better. The price was on point as well.

The data transfer cable worked nicely to retrieve data from a hard drive which was removed from a computer which had a failed motherboard. It was simple to use and the results were satisfactory.

Works as expected -- having removed the drive from the 'dead' laptop, this made the drive visible & usable on the new machine.

I bought this upon recommendation of the Best Buy rep, turns out I didn't need it .... good idea tho ....

This adapter is great for quick connection in cases where you want to clone a drive or a quick backup to a bare drive. Works without drivers, as expected.

Bought this in an emergency, laptops motherboard got cooked. Popped out the SSD, plugged it in the cable and back to 100% operational.

I purchased it to transfer data to my new Samsung evo 1TB, and I must say I am not disappointed. Do not use the software cd that comes with it. Use your SSD manufacture's cloning tool.

Was replacing and old hard drive to an ssd and needed the software to transfer the data from the old hard drive to the new ssd and it worked like a charm.
