Quick an easy for upgrading from a HDD to SSD. Easiest and cheapest method, short of borrowing one from a friend. No crazy online 3rd-party software downloads needed.

Upgraded Dell Inspiron to Samsung SSD with this cable. Tricky part was to transfer data from 1Gb HDD with multiple Windows partitions to 500Gb SSD. But it worked and I'm happy.

Have used this to transfer data from hard drives removed from older computers to new computers. Workes great and allows me to select specific data to transfer.

I was a little skeptical if this cable will really work; but it did & is amazing to transfer from one disk to another. Also the cable can be used to connect the old disk as a USB drive.

I had a laptop computer die due to the motherboard. I needed the data on the hard-drive and this cable allows me to continue using an internal hard-drive like an external.

System worked well for cloning original laptop HD to Toshiba SSHD in Windows 7. However, when I attempted to do the same on a Windows XP laptop, the software would not recognize the same model of SSHD -- the work-around was to download and use a Toshiba software clone app for XP, along with this product's hardware connector. So, if the system doesn't recognize your new HD, try different cloning software, likely from the HD manufacturer. The product's software -- when it works -- is easy enough to use.

Works perfectly for creating hard drive connections. The USB 3.0 means the transfer speeds are ridiculously fast! Highly recommended!

The SATA cable was very instrumental in cloning my existing hard drive to a larger one so that the smaller obsolete drive could be replaced.

It’s easy to use. Use it for a laptop . Didn’t need that disk Idk what that’s for haven’t used it but it works great. Simple data transfer

The data transfer cable and cloning software worked perfectly as intended. I didn't have any hiccups or problems at all. Perfect for transferring or copying personal hard drives.

I needed to transfer files, etc from an older computer that was no longer working. This was by far an easy method and relatively inexpensive way to transfer the info.

Program is for windows7 or vista which are kind of obsolete by now. The cables by themselves else where are about 5$ so paying another 20$ here for a program that won’t clone a Windows 10 Drive is kind inefficient. Use your money on the cable by itself there are plenty of free cloning softwares out there anyway.

I didn't read specs fully that this only works with 2.5" laptop hdds. It will not power a 3.5" hdd. Once you open it and discover this, you can not return it. Maybe I'll use it one day

I use this thing over and over don't really use the software because I use Paragon but the device is great.

Very good quality work very good. Old obsolete software included. Very expensive can find better deals on the internet.
