Great, easy to use and quality product. I needed this to transfer my harddrive data from my old computer to a new one.

I have used this product now twice to clone hard drives to new SSD drives. The included EZ Gig software works fine, you can create a boot CD or run it in Windows. It allows you to vary the partition sizes if desired, leave out selected user data to just get the OS cloned, or just sit back, scratch your head and let it do the thinking for easy cloning. The cable itself also works fine to just hook up a 2.5" HD or SSD to the USB port for normal file access. This is a good item for anyone's computer tool kit. I always go to the manufactures web site and download the newest version of software and use it. Current is v4.3.8 .

Bought to transfer drives but software can be confusing. Be careful only select drives can use this software that is included.

Bought this to read data off of an old computer however the new computer that was going to be reading the data does not have a CD drive, so this product did not accomplish my needs.

It works, I didn’t use the included CD since I have a program already. But the cable is good. I’ve done five transfers with it already.

This combo was dead simple to use. No 'techie' capabilities were needed, just follow the easy instructions and get done what you needed to do.

Cheap way to clone your drives. Just be sure you are there the whole time and follow the prompts. If you. Mess up, you will brick you ssd.

The Apricorn Data Transfer Cable (USB 3 to SATA 2.50") along with the software disk makes cloning your hard drive or transferring data to an external hard drive very easy. The software guides you through the process and allows you to exclude any files you may not want to transfer. I used the cable and software to clone my Dell Inspiron laptop hard drive to a new Solid State Drive. Everything worked smoothly, and when I installed the new SSD the laptop booted up and ran without a problem. Only my Norton 360 Anti-virus software needed to be re-installed because the system didn't recognize the Norton verification code.

I've got a friend that use this and it works well for them. Bought one when I had a drive go down. No matter what I did, it did not work out of the box. Took the drive to a friend with the same unit and his worked on the same drive, so I ended up with a defective unit and took it back. Used my friend's, but have not purchased another one for me. Gave it better than bad ratings just because his worked. Don't know if I would recommend one or not.

Worked perfectly. I was a little worried about the comment on the packaging about not being able to return if it's been opened, but everything worked great.

I had the clone disk Samsung sent with my new hard drive, it didn't work. 1st time I used this system it worked perfectly! Can't beat it for 25 bucks!

Works very well to attach a hard drive quickly and transfer content. A bit pricey but worth the long haul.
