Reliable transfer cable

I purchased it again because I knew it worked great. Very simple to use, you don't need the software if you want to copy files yourself. I copied over files from an old w7 laptop to a new w10 one and it's as easy as connecting a usb drive. Just note that it only works for 2.5 sata drives...it states so on the package.

Apricorn - Data Transfer Cable

It works with all 2.5" drives (SSD and HDD). Optical drives and 3.5" drives require more power than USB 3.0 can deliver. Read/Write speeds are on par with an SSD but slow (as expected) on a spinning drive. I never used the Upgrade suite software CD-ROM so I can't tell you if the programs are any good.
