Does what it's supposed to do
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this originally just for the cable, to utilize Samasung's software to clone SSD's, but the Samsung software has become very unreliable in both Win 7 and Win 10 environments. Not to worry, the Apricorn EZ-Gig cloning software takes over where the Samsung Data Migration software fails, and has been flawless everytime. I didn't expect that it would be better, more dependable, but it is.

Good product to copy your drive

Was able to hook up a SSD and copy an old drive to it. The only negative is that the software was very basic. It is only good for copying a good working drive to another. If you are looking to copy a drive that is slowly dying better coping software would be needed.

Useless for any peripheral that needs power.

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The usb to sata reader does not work on any peripheral that needs more power than a usb port offers. ie spinner hard drives, cd players, wouldnt even read a ssd. basically cant tell you what it does do well, it did absolutely nothing where I needed it.
