    The usb to sata reader does not work on any peripheral that needs more power than a usb port offers. ie spinner hard drives, cd players, wouldnt even read a ssd. basically cant tell you what it does do well, it did absolutely nothing where I needed it.

    The only issue I have is that is that I wish I could have got one that self defrosts - it seems to build up quickly. However, it is also very effective and freezes my stuff evenly. It's just big enough for a me and my husband without having a lot of empty space, or wishing we had more space.

    I bought this originally just for the cable, to utilize Samasung's software to clone SSD's, but the Samsung software has become very unreliable in both Win 7 and Win 10 environments. Not to worry, the Apricorn EZ-Gig cloning software takes over where the Samsung Data Migration software fails, and has been flawless everytime. I didn't expect that it would be better, more dependable, but it is.
