It is easy to connect to drive and USB port. The only drawback in my opinion is the length of the cord. It could be longer (14-16 inches).

I bought this adapter cable to help replace my laptop disk drive. Instead of hour of copying files and reinstalling programs, I just cloned the new drive from the old one

Cable worked great, but I didn't use the software. I used the software that came with my Samsung 850 Pro SSD. They worked well together.

Does what it supposed to do. Very straightforward very simple, easy to use and the best part is that it does not require external power supply in order to operate. If I had to pick a con, I guess it’s relatively more expensive than similar models. Remember, you get what you pay for.

This software prepares even the newest of novices in the sometimes difficult procedure of clone/copy your laptop Boot drive, especially if you need to go to either a larger or smaller boot drive. Going to an SSD drive to garner a MUCH faster boot time and transfer speeds. I bought this specifically to move up to a 1Tbyte SSD drive, all went smoothly, and not to mention it made the transfer in less than an hour.

I use this cable along with old hard drives i have from some old laptops. i use them as portable storage or just an extra drive when plug into my dock. these cables work great.

Need to use this to swap out a reg hd for an ssd one. New computer. Did the setup on the computer. Had to download the newest version of the software from the company’s site. Took maybe 5 minutes. Installed the software hooked up the cable to the computer and new hd. 10 minutes later transfer was done, new drive installed and zero issues with the computer.

If your into computers or only know how to press the power button you can use the apricorn data transfer cord. The instructions were super easy to follow and it worked flawlessly. I had a fried hard drive and want to switch to a ssd this product helped transfer all the days it could over to my new drive and did it quickly to. I recommend it to any and everyone. And it's cheap to a repair shop would've charge triple.

Super easy to use. The data cable was of the utmost quality. No extra software to download. Used straight out of the box! Transfer of ALL data was fast and accurate when imaging my tower p.c. In fact, used it another time - without registering for another license - to do the same for my roommate's gaming laptop.

I bought this cable as an alternative to paying for my data to be moved to my new computer. It was very easy to use, and I was able to access my old hard drive just like a regular flash drive. I used it in a USB 3.0 port, and the data was pretty quick to transfer. I got all my documents, music, and photos transferred to the new computer within about an hour.

I accidentally broke my old computer and had to buy this cable to transfer some of my school papers over to my new laptop. This worked well for transferring these documents.

Haven't used the software with the cable but the cable was mainly what i needed. Was able to retrieve 98%on my files from my old hard drive after it failed.

This was the only option in the Best Buy near me to transfer data to a new SSD from my old hard drive. I did not use the software it came with, however, so I can not review that. But the cable itself worked fine. I only gave four stars because I think it is overpriced due to not needing the software, however, lack of options made me choose this.

I needed to upgrade my laptop hard drive from a slow 5400 RPM Spindle drive to a same size SSD. I hooked up the new drive to the computer via USB, and ran the program direct from the CDROM. It only took about 22 minutes and I was able to swap the SSD in as if nothing happened. Windows booted and all my software was there in tact. Great product.

Purchased this so I can clone a hdd to a ssd. The cable works great but the software supplied didn't work for me. I had to download cloning software directly from Samsung. I feel a 4 star rating is fair. I would recommend this to a friend since it wasn't too expensive and you can easily download cloning software from the drive manufacturer.

Easy to install the cable and software. Attaching my old hard drive and transferring all my data to my new hard drive was a breeze. Turned a bad experience into a good one.
