I obviously did not read the package since this is not compatible with Windows 10. Whenever the software is updated, I'll be ready!

The cable works great but can't tell on the software. I used it to upgrade from a Samsung 125gb to 250gb solid state drive. Their software was free and worked like a charm

This product saved my daughter's close to 11,000 picture collection. She had no backup and her disk fizzled. With his product, we put in a new disk, plugged in the old and POW, we recovered all her files from the old disk even though it was not bootable.

For anybody's need for external sata drive's. This is a must. I got a new sdd and had to migrate Windows and so my information to the new drive. I tried to take apart an external hard drive and it just wouldn't work. Went and bought this little gem and I had no more problems.

This allowed me to salvage an ancient drive off a 2012 laptop form an almost dead mechanical drive to a ssd without breaking the bank. The software is a little wonky at first but eventually gets the transfer completed.

Used this to upgrade my existing hard drive to a new SSD. Simple plug in to the standard pin connections. Had a decent transfer rate, the old hard drive was slow so likely didn't take fill advantage of the max transfer rate.

Tools have with cd software and cable. I only use for PC not Apple. Goos option when you dont do presettings. Best I found I can download software from web instead of cd. I do verify copy slow but worth it. Amazing and great tool for upgrade Hard drives.

Works okay. The company who owns this no longer provides support for it FYI. Only works on laptops - even if the Best Buy tech says it works for PC.

I have not used this to operate a hard drive... I have installed the corsair rgb lighting outside of my pc, and used this to power and control it with my pcs current rgb. A bit of a hack but it works well for a decent price

Too bad this transfer cable doesn't come free with the purchase of a new hard disk, but for less than $20, that's almost free anyway. Worked on first-time use and can be used with other device (laptop) disk upgrades. Good to have for friends or family to borrow.

Just what I needed to grab some files off of an old 2.5" hard drive I use for backup storage. Easy to use, basically plug and play. (Does not work on 3.5" hard drives)

I actually just needed a cable to plug into an external SSD to back up my hard drive, so the upgrade software was a bonus, but I don't know that I will ever have a chance to use it.

It's a pretty straightforward little dodad.. My son's laptop died and we wanted to transfer the hard drive. It worked really well and we've even kept the old drive as a back-up!

I used it on a bad internal drive that was replaced in my computer by a new one. I have to plug it in several times but I was able to get my info off of the bad internal drive that was removed.

Bought this to transfer files from a hard drive I wasn't using it anymore. Found out the drive was corrupt so I'm having a friend rebuild it to get my pics.

Lost my original cable just a few weeks ago, and I kinda needed one right away. This location had some in stock, so that was very convenient! Other that I’m satisfied with the product and it’s price!

It did its job. Seemingly well made. I only used it one time thus far. I dont think its an item a regular joe would use often. The connector on my nieces portable HD got damaged and I used it to transfer the data. Not sure when I'll use it again.

Good quality but very outdated software drivers. Did the job transferring software from hard drive to new SSD.

Simply boot from the included CD and follow the instructions. As long as the new drive is larger than the storage you currently use, time will be your only obstacle. I would recommend this item just to have around in case you begin to run out of space on your current hard drive.

Worked great on one transfer to a new SSD. On my main laptop, I wasted a lot of time using this device and software. Ended up using my external hard drive (WD).
