It works fine, but it turned out I didn't need it. And the packaging is such that there is no way I could return it. Once it was opened, the packing was totally destroyed. Not good.

I have used Best Buy for years and never been disappointed with any product or help at all. I will continue to use them both in Memphis and online for all my electronic needs.

Cable works are great for what we needed them for. I made a return this item only for one reazon: my son has a similar one. It was a great experience for me.

I have two of these so I can clone hard drives that are already out of a laptop or desktop on a separate computer. There is better cloning software out there, but the included one is a decent utility.

After installing the software on my computer it informed me an upgrade was available on their website. I went ahead and did the software upgrade and was able to clone my hard drive easily after the upgrade.

I needed to reformat a hard drive when inward trying to do a fresh install of windows in my gaming pc. Pick this up for about $20 bucks thank you to bb price match.

I ended up returning this to the store, since I noticed that my external hard drive had the same exact connection, meaning I could use it rather than this. I am sure it would have worked fine if I ended up needing it.

apparently what I needed was a dock for a sata internal drive. This would not do anything at all with the hdd i was trying to repair.

I was used to using a power adapter along with this adapter to wipe hard drives but this is perfect and you don't need a power adapter just plug this in its all one unit works excellent

I bought this unit after an employee confirmed it would work for cloning a 3.5 HDD to a 2.5 SSD. The program failed on 4 occasions to clone the drive, (error occurs at 66% of the cloning phase) however the cable it came with was a high quality SATA cable that i was able to use after having to purchase Acronis to get the job done. Had to pay twice but finally got the job done and still own the cable for future drive cloning needs.

Didn’t work for me. I think my hard drive was damaged in the fall. So basically a big waste of money. I give it three stars because once opened, this item is NON-RETURN. That sticker is on the package but very easy to miss. Probably would have bought a different item had I known it was non-returnable. Besides my complaint, the software loaded into my new computer easily and seemed to work as advertised.

Did not know it would be Needed, but the guy that sold me the drive strongly recommended it. Found it cheaper on the BB website while in store, and price matched it.

Seems like a good product even though I never had a chance to use it. I bought the wrong product for my HDD

This item worked on both Mac and Windows OS. I had an issue with the Hard drive I was taking out and was able to copy some of the files off before the drive totally crashed.

Got this to change multiple work laptops over to SSDs. It works great and is very easy. The transfers were rapid via the usb 3 connection and the included software was simple to use. I would definitely buy this again.

I read instructions but after 2 days of trying to figure what was wrong I was about to give up. Then i tried my usb3 port then it worked like a charm. Transferred all data from my old hard drive to my new ssd drive

I used this cable to read the hard drive from my old laptop. It worked as intended and I was able to read my old hard drive just like any other USB drive.

I bought the cable to transfer data from a dead laptop to back it up. It worked perfectly for what I needed it to do and provided nice USB 3.0 speeds. I did not use the software provided so I can't comment on how well that works.

I can transfer all the data with this. I have been transferring for hours. So much data. But is a terrible babysitter. Now my babies addicted to crack.

I needed transfer cable to move data from one drive to another. Insructions were hard hard to understand. Made transfer using trial and error method.
