Night mode with flash light and wide angle coverage are useful

Arlo cameras are extremely underwhelming and do not live up to their price. Accessing even the most basic functionality requires paying for a costly subscription, making the already expensive hardware feel misleadingly marketed. Even after paying extra, the video quality is only average and the audio is unclear and inconsistent. Considering the high overall cost, the performance is disappointing and noticeably inferior to what many competing products offer.

I like the camera but I would get the slightly more expensive one to have the swivel mount.

This was a needed purchase to replace my last Gen 1 Arlo security camera in my set. I love the smaller form factor as well, in comparison to the original Essential series.

I have other Arlo cameras. And this was a nice addition.

The software that came with the camera is so bad, this was my worst experience with camera

Had trouble getting it to work, switched to ring, works great.

Does everything I need it to do. Reliable and dependable.

Summary ------- A simple wireless camera, does its thing. Records motion But will require you to get subscription at 2.99 a month if you want to relook at the recordings. else you only get the notifications For the price, if you can get the subscription, then it is a worthy buy, just because it is reliable. Pros ---- 1. You dont need a hub 2. Can add more cameras to your armor 3. Easy to install and use. 4. Cheap 5. Weatherproof. Cons ---- 1. Requires a subscribtion at 2.99 per camera or 9.99 for all cameras Details -------- You just setup using the arlo app on your phone. The instructions are pretthy straight forward, you will need 2.4 band on your wifi. Just download the app, add the camera, setup wifi, all this after charging and then hook it up wherever you need to do it. The App is good, shows your battery life, turn off and on LED light, configure E911 setting and change subscriptions. The great part is that the app is stable and gives you good notifiations on the cellphone with vehicle and human detection. The night vision is great if you have some light , there will be color at night. Otherwise , it is black and white. Overall i think this is a great camera for the price and you can expand the cameras easily without having to go through with a hub.

Nice inexpensive security cam. Motion detection settings are a little fussy as it too easily picks up trees moving in the wind, Would be better if it had cheaper, more accessible storage features without a subscription.

I have another Arlo device that heretofore warned me of someone in my home. New outdoor camera and new software must have been designed by the Bean Counters One must now pay for the basics! How about cultivating a little loyalty?

Great value! It also works great both indoor and outdoor. Very easy to pair to your Wi-Fi and the app!
