I’m extremely frustrated with the Arlo Outdoor 2K camera. I absolutely do not recommend it. You can only record if you pay for their overpriced subscription. Without it, this camera does absolutely nothing because it has no micro SD card slot — zero local storage. Basically, if you don’t subscribe, the camera is useless. On top of that, their subscription is one of the most expensive on the market. This feels like a total money grab.

Very good addition camera for my arlo pro system. Good quality recording

This camera does a great job with the video. However, be aware. I have the previous generation of the same camera, and the set up on this generation is terrible. I've called Support three times to attempt to set different schedules for each camera. Following the procedures that they sent did no good. Nothing would work. It was very simple with the older one. I was paying about $48/yr for recording for one camera on a plan. When I wanted to add the second camera, I was told that the old price was now $90 for one, and if I wanted to add another one, it would be $150/yr. Features like turning on the spotlight when motion was seen on the older one was grayed out on the new one, as were a number of other features. All in all, I'll be replacing the Arlo cameras with something else, even though I've got a couple of hundred bucks in them. Reading through the comments in the community forum confirm that Arlo is not interested in correcting the problems people are experiencing. I'm sorry I didn't return this camera before it was too late.

like that these are witeless amd stay charged for a lengthy period. but they eventually stopped notifying me of motion. lag if you dont have excellent internet.

Work well even without the Arlo subscription, easy set up

Works wonderfully just have issues with battery life while using solar chargers. Otherwise great and would highly recommend.

I am having to consistently add to the internet even though my signal is strong, so it’s kind of annoying my previous Arlo’s set up in the same locations never lost internet connection but they were 8 years old so I wanted to upgrade camera quality,

I have 12 cameras and 3 doorbells. I replaced Ring because ring at the time of purchase only had HD quality. With HD quality it was difficult to make out details or recognize someone especially at night. Arlo with 2K seemed like the way to go. Quality was excellent even with power set to optimized. Where Arlo goes south is the performance, My camera’s hardly record or worse yet record nothing. Most recordings are 2 seconds and don’t get much action and some don’t even record the same activity, I have two doorbells capturing the front door at different angles and I have package detection enabled. Two packages were delivered. A package was stolen and I only have 2 seconds of delivery and no footage on the other camera. 4 minutes later I see myself picking up one of the packages again only 2 seconds and also again nothing on the iother camera. It’s only after I see the delivery photo that there were supposed to be 2 packages. Somewhere in the 4 minutes between delivery and pickup one of them went missing. This is a private gated community. My suspicion, driver delivered, took a photo and doubled back to steal it or someone is following the driver and stealing packages in the 4 minute window. Either way I’m upset these cameras are useless but what they do capture is nice at 2k. I’ve had ring for close to a decade, through different generations and they work, they capture the action. But these cameras after 9 months are perhaps the worst performing system I’ve owned. Time to look elsewhere. What’s worse is that the cameras go down because battery drains in 2-3 days even after being solar charged. (was never an issue with ring). I charge to 100% then switch to solar and after a few days they’re dead again, Solar can’t keep up. And these cameras aren’t even recording anything. Poor performance. Don’t buy!

Great price & great quality. Night and day High Definition ! Installed quick and easy . Good battery life aswell. 2 way audio and can alert the authorities.

Great cameras I absolutely love the quality and sevice

A friend of ours recommended these cameras so I got them. I wish I did my research because these are extremely disappointing. The app is painfully slow and it's ridiculously expensive. The video doesn't even capture a constant stream just "events" which half the time it doesn't even detect a car pulling into my driveway. All of that, plus the battery life makes these abysmal. The video quality is good, and they're easy to mount. Besides that there are better brands

These cameras are very easy to set up and very easy to use.

First - Connectivity. One of the two cameras in the set never did connect with our Wifi. The other did, but after having a decent live view for a minute or two the image became very fragmented, glitchy and delayed. The camera was ten feet from our router with only a window between. Second - the app. Many people said the app is intuitive. I have many tech "toys" that I have apps for and this one sucked and was NOT intuitive. I never did find how to set up monitor zones. One feature I looked for that should have been in settings somewhere, I found by accident under my account/profile icon which made no sense. I returned the set of two Outdoor Wireless cameras and am going to try Ring next. Fingers crossed - at least I already have a Ring doorbell, and that works. I am really disappointed in Arlo and would recommend finding a different option.
