Bad design

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Couple of things, i have these about 50yrds away with a direct line of sight to my dedicated router that is mounted in the window. Sometimes they connect sometime not. I also have the earlier model and they connect fine, these are junk. Please know that all of the spotlight models turn on the spotlight when live viewing at night, or they sense motion regardless of settings. Arlo says that you cannot change this feature. That feature is stupid , it lets anyone out there know that the camera is there and exactly where the camera is. Guess I will paint over the spotlight since reselling these on ebayis a joke at 25 bucks a peice - which says how much they are really worth. The battery also sucks, on avg after about 4wks they need recharged. They are lithium so I dont let them go below 50%. I did finally put them on solar, still junk though

These Gen 2s are terrible and they expect you to pay a monthly per camera fee to maintain even basic functions. Even during the free trail they constantly freeze and I had to close phone to move on

However, subscribing unlocks additional features, including 60-day Video History, Advanced Object Detection, Activity Zones, 24/7 Emergency Response, and more.
