I had the original Arlo cameras and I bought these to replace the older original version (bough in 2015). These newer cameras don’t hold a battery charge over 2 weeks when placed in a “busy” area. To charge the camera you must remove from the mount and a full charge can take up to 4 hours. After the initial trial version expired I was no longer able to see any activity that my cameras captured. To see any activity I would need to purchase a plan which I never had to with the original set or arlo cameras. The only positive I liked about this newer set is the two way audio, sound and picture quality. So, unless you’re open to purchasing a plan to view recording history, I do not recommend.

I already have the arlo pro 2 setup and have not installed these yet. I am hoping the performance gets better without using the hub.

Cannot connect with our current Arlo base. It has been complicated and unclear how to pair and manage settings.

The only bad thing on this is that the battery only last for a week before charging. Other than that, great camera.

They are good, the only thing is that you can't lower more than I would like in different angles

I didn't find out until after purchasing and gifting them to someone that they removed the free limited cloud storage on the app and put it behind a subscription service. I've been using Arlo since 2016 (the Pro Gen 1) and those cameras still provide recorded video footage to the app for free. Though limited in how much it can store it's always been more than enough. I will be returning these new ones and buying from another company because that's the most desirable feature and they're aware of it which is why it's now locked behind a subscription service. If cloud storage is too expensive then offer a base station with SD card to store and access locally/via app. I know other products that do this and will be switching to them.

Arlo Cabreras are plug and play and work great! These are even better then prior ones I own. No hub is needed for them to work.

The cameras are very clear and sync right to my Smart Hub no problem.

These cameras are decent, but you need a subscription after the free trial to do any recording. Otherwise, they're useless unless you just want to see what is going on outside.
