    Horrible customer support and defective RMA policy

    Arlo Essential Spotlight Camera: I arrived at the office and noticed that the security camera was not trigered. I checked the wi-fi, battery charge, etc. and all looked fine. I went to the app to reconnect the camera and it couldnt't find the camera. Tried the troubleshooting instructions. Didn't help. I spent the next 3:15 on chats with 3 different Arlo customer support people. 1 because their system ended the chat while I was doing something she told me to do; 1 because he ended the chat before I could attach the file he requested; 1 because she ended the chat when I said I wanted a Supervisor. It took 2.5 hours to troubleshoot before they deemed my camera defective; another 45 minutes to get the RMA issued. Then I discovered that I was responsible for return shipping charges! Their product is defective, but I have to pay to ship it back. That's when I asked for a supervisor and that's when she ended the chat. Needless to say, I do not recommend Arlo products!

    So far we are liking them. The talking is delayed so that kind of sucks. Could be the internet though. Not sure.

    Very easy to install and operate, but one of my unit's battery life is always low despite how long I charge the unit. This is the reason I gave it 3 stars versus 5.

    Not a very good item to buy, one camera was not recognized on my phone, and the other three cameras have to be charged every four to five days. Did not like them at all.

    I considered other security cameras and choose Arlo and am very pleased. Longer battery life and 7 day rolling streams for capture makes this an easy decision.

    one of the camera's is not video, one is picture only and that "picture only" camera does not save the pictures, the other two work excellent, love them. if all 3 were the same would have been great package, this is only ok.

    The batteries die quickly. I didn't even have them active all the time and within 2 weeks I was at 50% or less.

    Excellent Camera, it has a siren and it can even call a friend from the app. The view is great and it tells you if it was a human, motion or an animal.

    They stopped recording and I only have 4 cameras. No one answers the support line.

    Like that it doesn't require an additional modem. However, it d9es pick up everything and can get alerts that u need to find a position where doesn't pick up

      You only have to subscribe to an Arlo Secure plan if you want to enjoy these features: cloud storage, object detection, activity zones, and video history.
