    The battery dies in a matter of days! Thought it was odd since it said the battery would last a long time so we replaced the cameras and the new ones also died extremely quickly. Worst case: they’re connected to the solar panels! If you insist on buying these get a protection plan!!!!!!!

    Do not buy this camera! The battery life sucks.... it’s been setup for 1.5 weeks and I already had to charge it. I have it set to run from 10pm-4am and there isn’t a lot of traffic where it’s setup. Keep your money, go with the Arlo with replaceable batteries. I own 4 Arlo Pro and only have to charge those batteries once every 3-4 months depending on useable and weather (winter)

    This product was the worst for us, it didn't work to our expectations, kept having to call or chat with Arlo. There was a cat on our front porch where the camera was facing and never set the camera off and it was like 3 ft away. It kept shutting itself off and losing Wi-Fi which the box is less than 15ft from the product. No,no and no I wouldn't suggest this product to anyone.

    I purchased this investment in my home Security on March 24, 2023. Three of the cameras stopped working the first week of June 2023. I have tried everything to get these cameras to work (called Arlo customer service.. that was a waste of time) I only have one of the cameras that will stay connected. This has been the worse investment I have ever made. I completely wasted $427.99 on these cameras. I have never in my life written a review on any product, and I get no Joy in writing this. I just would like to warn others of the potential waste of hard earned money on these cameras. I loved the cameras for the 2 months they worked. Just frustrated and disappointed.

    Only one of the cameras will stay connected. The other 2 I have gave up on. Old Arlo cameras worked fine, but I am about to switch to different brand.

    I really like the Arlo Essential Spotlight camera. It doesn't have to work with a base station. The color night vision is great and clearer pictures. I have Arlo Pro 2 camera's, so the only minus is you have to get the security plan for the Arlo Essential.

    Garbage. Worked fine for about a week Losing network connection bricks the camera and burns out the battery. This happens about every 24-36 hours. Setup is a pain through the app and takes forever to discover the camera. Will never buy this brand again. Absolute garbage

      Hi Bby8rev131, The Essential spotlight camera battery lasts up to 6 months with Average use. Average use assumes that you are using Optimized or Best Battery Life video settings and that your cameras record for approximately five minutes per day. Too many triggers such as heavy traffic may cause the battery to drain much more rapidly. You can try adjusting your cameras positioning to lowering the sensitivity to a desired level to help with unwanted motion detection. Regards, Arlo Team

    Meets expectations, added onto original Pro system. Clear picture, only downfall is non magnetic. Purchased a solar charger compatible so I never have to take it down. Already have subscription with the doorbell camera. Get the warranty as I had a pro camera slightly after 1 year non functional.
