Worked fine for about a week Losing network connection bricks the camera and burns out the battery. This happens about every 24-36 hours. Setup is a pain through the app and takes forever to discover the camera. Will never buy this brand again. Absolute garbage

Posted .Hi Bby8rev131, The Essential spotlight camera battery lasts up to 6 months with Average use. Average use assumes that you are using Optimized or Best Battery Life video settings and that your cameras record for approximately five minutes per day. Too many triggers such as heavy traffic may cause the battery to drain much more rapidly. You can try adjusting your cameras positioning to lowering the sensitivity to a desired level to help with unwanted motion detection. Regards, Arlo Team

Don't buy this product with the spotlight

I had arlo cameras that worked just fine. However, I had to charge the batteries about once a month. These said the battery life was 6 months. I'm lucky if they last 6 days and then it is miserable to try to charge them for some strange reason. I need to see if they will take them back or throw them in the trash.

Terrible camera and even worse support

When I called support on it, even though the cameras show the purchase date and I have the upgraded support. I still have to provide additional proof of purchase for them to replace their terrible product.
