Do not buy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I would not recommend these cameras. I bought this set and 6 months later one fails. It won't hold a charge. From what I gather this is a common occurrence. Arlo cameras have a limited 1 year warranty but the company makes it impossible to contact customer service. They have an automated chat service that takes you in circles. I have tried for days to get ahold of a LIVE person without success. I definitely would not recommend Arlo to anyone!

Easy Setup / Clear Picture

High quality images

I get little human traffic but lots of deer and a few other critters. I enjoy seeing the captures of them, but the camera appears to be sensitive enough to see them in almost total darkness, which is what I see.

Great, unless you want to use them

We tried with two android and one iPhone - nothing. Called the internet provider and confirmed that the 2.4 Ghz network was properly set up, too. There is almost no tech support to be found anywhere.

Batteries are Terrible

Very good camera
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I used a blink system before moving to Arlo. Arlo offers many more features over blink. With blink you need the sync module to connect the cameras. With this camera, there is not a separate module, the camera connects directly to WiFi. The spotlight feature being built in is one less addon needing to be purchased. Arlo offers a web portal in addition to a mobile app for monitoring your cameras. You can also share camera access with others without giving them your login information like blink. Overall extremely satisfied.

Apple does not support this device, meaning there is no mobile app available for Arlo and the customer service when you call them is unprofessional and cannot help you. Waste of $140.00 bucks. I Hope Best Buy will allow me to return. Bottom line, if you are a company that wants to charge this amount for a camera. PLEASE only create and sell products that are easy to sync up consumer computers and cell phones.

Support lacking

THEY CLAIM Apple Home Kit compatibility, good luck with that. They say you can add cameras to your smart plan after your first five, How? Not on their web site, and if call, we’ll you are told to disconnect and start over. Seems to be their standard answer. The problem is you have already installed up high, near the roof, now you have to go around your house climbing a ladder? Really? If I am going to do that, I would just buy something else. But if you just want a few cameras and not smarty home, then this is a great product. I have 5 cameras, bought the new floodlight, and after free subscription, then came the problem. Also have five of the old spot/flood lights. Been a user for years, but am looking for someone who actually supports their product.

Great camera

Bummer. 1 week battery life, not 6 months.

Mine lasted only a week after each charge. My other Arlo cameras last much longer. Also really didnt like that the spotlight could not be turned off

Poor customer service. Won't support this company.

After reading the reviews that sometimes the cameras don't stream well if the camera's are on a slower WIFI system, I decided that since I was there for their birthdays that I would make sure that the camera would connect and stream with their WIFI in different locations around the house. If the camera failed to connect I planned on taking the system back to the store since I wouldn't be seeing my parents for quite awhile after their birthdays due to being an emergency room nurse and my high level of COVID exposure. After I turned one on and made sure it would connect, I put it back in the box until my Dad had time to set them up. Fast forward a few months when my Dad's work slowed down a bit for him to set up the camera's, he gets a notification that the camera won't work unless he gets a subscription. I contacted Arlo myself since I was the one who purchased the product to ask what happened to the three month trial only to be informed that since I simply turned on the camera to make sure it worked, it initiated the free trial automatically. The company refused to reinstate the three month trial, even after attempting to explain to them the reasoning behind me turning on the camera, the fact that the cameras have been disconnected since the initial turning on, and my inability to see my parents for an extended period of time. I feel that this company does not care about its customers, especially during a pandemic, and plan on returning these cameras. I do not want to support a company that has zero understanding or willingness to work with its customers. I will never buy another Arlo product ever again.

Beware

Notifications are delayed, you’ll get a notification about 10 mins after someone breaks in your house. I had someone steal a package off my front porch, it didn’t pop up as a person detected instead I got a notification of a car detected. So a person walks to my front door, steals a package and Arlo detects it as a car?! Tried reaching out to Arlo and all they can say it’s your internet. It’s definitely not my internet, it’s Arlo camera and services. $20 a month for useless service.

Bad night vision

Both great daytime cameras but at night you'll miss alot of specific details.
