Garbage

Very Disappointing Camera
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been a big fan of Arlo cameras, owning Arlo Pro and Arlo Pro 2 models. When the Arlo Essential Spotlight camera was introduced, and it was said to be compatible with the Arlo Hub VMB4000 that my other cameras use, I purchased one. After a couple of weeks past the Best Buy return window, I discovered that while the video files are indeed recorded on the media on the hub, unlike the other cameras, they cannot be viewed from the Arlo App unless I subscribe to Arlo Smart. This makes the camera nearly useless to me, since I can't review the videos it creates without removing the flash drive from the hub, and inserting it in a computer.

Security is flaky, Arlo support is worse
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A camera just stopped uploading security videos, for just one day. After two months of back and forth, no resolution or explanation. For the SAME case, a different support person responds every time and the case has been opened for almost two months. They don't read the case history and just cut & paste a stock answer from the web site. Even after you explain (multiple times) that you've already followed the steps, the next guy will say the same thing, then ask you to close the case. A security camera should not have gaps in recordings with no warnings or explanation. As far as I am concerned, this is an insecure product with terrible support.

Good Security Camera.

Its a little hard to talk to people through the website or app because the video is lagging. Otherwise, it a great security camera.

This has really helped my mindset with our neighborhood! I recommend getting these cameras!
