New Cool Toy!

I have a new vacation rental property and this camera mounted over the front door helps me see who is checking in and out of my property. I LOVE the talk feature where I can communicate with my guests. This camera helps me feel safer about what’s happening with my property when I can’t be there!

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.On paper, the Arlo Essential Spotlight Camera seemed to be perfect for our needs. We are using it at a small vacation home and with no need to connect it to a hub and long-term batteries, what more could we want. But we asked a friend to go into the house to test it for us and he walked all around without the cameras picking him up. We got that solved, but we still can't get notifications to work, even though we get notifications with no problem from the cameras at our regular home. Stay tuned.

I definitely would not waste your money on Arlo!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the Arlo camera 3 pack. The cameras might be okay if your don't need any technical support. I signed up for the 14 day cloud storage and Arlo charged my card. The 14 day plan never worked one day! Arlo WILL NOT answer a call to their support phone number. I was forced to use email to attempt to resolve my problem. The issue is it takes at least a week (up to two weeks) to hear from them. When I did hear from them the help was a waste. Nothing I had not already tried.

Avoid Arlo
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have the Pro 3 camera system. It has OK video. But the Arlo app and software is terrible, buggy and 15 years behind the times. Amateurish 2FA implementation. Camera response time to triggering events is often around 60 seconds late, can even be several minutes behind, so not so good in real-time monitoring. Your stuff will be gone by the time Arlo lets you know your home has been broken in to. No real IT department at Arlo, mostly just call-center freshmen. Avoid. :-(

Good value for the price

It covers a pretty large area and comes with a motion sensor light and two-way microphone. We had it installed and up and running in less than 30 minutes. We're actually thinking of getting a second one for the back of the house. I recommend this to anyone looking for an inexpensive security camera.

Arlo - Essential Spotlight Camera
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I installed this camera, it was not easy because I have 5G router, the only way you can find wifi 2.4 is stepping outside of the house and search for a spot until you see the 2.4 showing on your phone. After all I am still happy to have extra security and I can keep an eye on my cats when I go out of town.
