    Excellent camera, no need for hub, and the light that turns on everytime there is movement is great. The feature I like the most is that this camera recognized if movement comes from a car, animal, or a person.

    Love this camera! Sound is crisp and clear, color video that extends to the end of my driveway, wide angle, easy to install and batteries charge quickly and seem to last quite a long time (about a month, so far).

    Have had Arlo cameras for several years and am glad to see updates and changes. Essential Spotlight so far was an easy addition to my system and gives a fair amount of light. It’s not as bright as a normal spotlight but it does provide illumination. I have not had it long enough to determine battery life but after a week we are still at 95%. Having the proper adjustment for motion and optimized video is important to lengthen battery life. Battery life is the only weak point in this system I can see, but by planning and a schedule it has been ok. Wireless connectivity has been good with a mesh EERO wireless system. Overall I would recommend this system as it is easy to setup and use vs having to wire an entire house.

    Cameras work great. Picture is very clear. It picks up everything. The only issue is the battery life is short. You can set them not to be too sensitive. I think that will help with battery life.

    I replaced an old Arlo camera with this one at my front door. Better picture, sound, sensitivity, as well as color and light at night! Easy to install, add to my base, and well worth the price.

    Recently purchased Arlo Cameras. I was highly disappointed after the first couple of days, for various reasons. First reason was the batteries had to be recharged after 24 hours. I had to take down all 3 Cameras and different times to recharge the batteries. I was disappointed with how easy the cameras could be taken down. While the cameras had alot of good Features, I chose not to spend any more money for solar panels and security mounts. I would definitely be interested in purchasing the cameras in the future, but I would recommend purchasing the more expensive bundles. Easy to setup and to install.

    Very easy setup. The video quality, intuitive app, wider angle view are great for this price point. Good quality feel, designed well. The magnetic connection to the mount is great to get it down for charging.

    It's ok. Not what i expected as far as the battery life. I guess the 6 months battery life is for minimum motion detection. Like some one that's not home but once a mont or so... Also, accessing the account is limited to one personat a time. Everything is ok. We've had the Essential set for 1 month and some days.

    I have two other wired Arlo cameras and each of them pick up all motion and identify the differences between people, animal, vehicles and package. This camera would not consistently pick any motion let alone differentiate. Sometimes it wouldn’t even connect. I thought it was the location so I switch the camera and sure enough it worked fine. I would not recommend but maybe it was just a defect.

    Packaged instructions are very limited. Most set-up help came from You Tube videos. PDF instructions are good but around 60 pages.

    The cameras were super easy to set up and the image/video quality so far has been great. I wish the zone setup on these was as flexible as the Arlo Pros though.

    Beware! The app is terrible and customer support is zero help. I am returning these today - thank goodness I bought the geek squad protection. Bought them in January and had no problems until September. It started when I lost power and the cameras were having a hard time connecting back to WiFi once my internet was back up. This caused the batteries to drain fast and send me a notification to my phone EVERY 10 SECONDS that the battery was low. Only way to get it to stop was to delete the app. But then my email was still flooded with these notifications. Customer supports only solution was to take the cameras down and charge them and get them closer to the WiFi to connect again (I have a mesh WiFi system in my house so I have a strong signal no matter where they are) I did this the first time, then they went down again about a week ago even though my internet was fine. More annoying notifications so I took them down, charged them, put them back up and then started to receive no motion notifications!! In the middle of the night last night I received 65 notifications in five minutes that one of the cameras was low again. I deleted the app and am now looking for a replacement. The cameras worked great and had good quality video, but if the app doesn’t work properly, none of that matters.

    I've had a variety of different security cameras and apps. The image quality is outstanding and video captuer is excellent. Installation was simple and connectivity to my Wifi is great.

    I spent about a month researching the different brands of security cameras before deciding to go with Arlo. Overall, I'm pleased with the quality of these cameras, however there are a few glitches with the Arlo app that need resolved. For instance, sometimes the app will randomly completely log you out without notifying you. Meaning, if you don't know you've been logged out, you can go days without receiving movement notifications. Other than that - there is a feature where you can set up Activity Zones (so you only get notified if there is movement in that specific area). This is a really convenient feature, because before I set up the activity zones, I was receiving notifications every time a car drove past my house which was annoying. However, the activity zones are not as precise as they should be. I still receive notifications for movement if it's about a foot outside of the specified activity zone. Easy fix, just takes quite a bit of playing around with to get it perfect.
