Overall happy with the quality. However, struggled with the set up. We did not purchase the hub so were required to scan a QR code in order to complete the set up of each camera. It took numerous times for the QR code to scan and required a call to customer service for help. Also since the batteries cannot be removed, we had to charge each camera before installing the cameras. We also own the Arlo 2 and I feel that the set up for those cameraS were much easier.

Switched from the ring, spotlight cam to this. The lag that ring had was absolutely detrimental to seeing a quick picture, and the clarity was not too good either. Arlo however, has stepped up its game and this product is great. Picture is fantastic, and the audio is great as well. Fantastic product.

I ordered this item and Wyze cameras for comparison. I didn't even take this out of the box because, after purchasing, I discovered there were fewer capabilities than the Wyze cameras. And no subscriptions were required. Although I'm still working out a few audio bugs on the Wyze cameras, the video quality is really good. I'm giving it "good" ratings in an effort to be fair even though I didn't open the box.

Crisp day and evening pictures. Photographed several animals with infrared, and the picture quality was tremendous. Spotlight adds to make color night photography excellent. Identifies people, objects, animals, movement. Voice works well. WiFi is very convenient. Four days and counting for battery life which is still above 95%.

I really like them but they do have a delay which i do not care for. Delay isn't bad maybe 3 seconds. The spotlight has no delay as soon as you are spotted it comes on. Mounting brackets are very easy to use. Setup is very easy. Spotlight isn't all that bright but it is nice. Mine have been installed for over 1 month and I have them set to alert me at everything (just because) and they are still at 40% battery so I'm betting the batteries will last 3 or more months if they were set to only record and notify if there was say a person.

These cameras are great for the value. No wiring necessary because they are battery. Battery lasts months before it needs a charge. Arlo interface is simple to use and picture quality is nice. You can even chat with someone who’s physically near the camera.

Great. The only reason it's not 5 stars is because when you have the alarm set it kills the battery very quickly.

I've been using the Arlo security system for about a couple weeks now, and I'm absolutely loving it. It's so easy to set up and use, and the quality of the video is amazing. I can check in on my home from anywhere in the world, and I feel so much more secure knowing that I have eyes on my property 24/7. One of the things I love most about the Arlo system is the fact that it's wireless. This means that I don't have to worry about running wires all over my house, and I can easily move the cameras around as needed. The cameras also have a long battery life, so I don't have to worry about charging them very often. The Arlo app is also really well-designed. It's easy to use and navigate, and it gives me a lot of control over the system. I can view live video from the cameras, arm and disarm the system, and receive notifications when there's motion detected. Overall, I'm really happy with the Arlo security system. It's easy to use, the quality of the video is great, and it's very affordable. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a home security system.

I spent a lengthy amount of time comparing different doorbells and camera systems, and am so glad that I decided to go with Arlo. Setup was easy, connectivity is great, and the batteries last pretty long. I just make sure that I charge them during the day when I at home. Charging takes a couple of hours for me. We have two doorbells - one is wired - and that one of course is nice to not have to charge. The video clarity is amazing. I love the large view that the doorbells and cameras have! The sensors are extremely sensitive, so be sure to adjust the active settings in your app. Arlo works with Alexa devices but not as easy as Ring, but that doesn’t bother be because I use my phone for viewing. The spotlight on the essential camera is brighter than I expected it to be. The biggest plus for me is the fact that the Arlo is a lot smaller and more sleek than Ring. Ring is so clunky in my opinion. I got my Arlo setup on sale - almost 50% off, so the purchase was totally worth it! I was worried about the high price of eventually purchasing a spotlight, but with the great quality of the essential camera, along with an inexpensive solar powered spotlight, the price is much better.

A little tricky to setup but once I figured it out it works great. The motion detector picks up just the right amount sensitivity with overloading the files with nonessential video. I also like the feature that identifies persons or animals. We use it to watch for wildlife in our backyard and it satisfies that objective perfectly. The only negative is that it is battery operated which requires me to disconnect it from the mount and recharge it periodically. Fortunately it has a fairly long battery life

Overall I like it. Will not be returning. Probably wouldn’t recommend but also think it serves its overall purpose. I got it on sale $50 off so I’m very glad I didn’t pay full price. Couple things, there were no instructions on how mount it. Maybe I just should have figured it out without instructions but I wanted to know the drill bit size to use basically. I’m the type that is nervous about messing things up so I like to have the instructions. I messaged support and they sent me a link after I spent 5-10 minutes searching their support site with no luck. The rest of the setup was easy. Worked as intended with the app. Like that it shows the battery life left on the app. Biggest issue I have is the alerts/notifications. I will be in the room moving around. I will get 10 notifications back to back that a person is detected. I’m the same person and I moving continuously so why keep alerting me lol. If I was still and started moving again I would get it but like this happens when I’m putting away laundry for example and I’m doing something continuously. The next issue is at night. It sometimes misses people completely and I get no alert. What prompted me to write the review was it just missed me getting out of bed at 5 am and leaving the room. No alert. Not on the feed. Just didn’t see a person walk from one side of the room to the other out the door. This isn’t the first time it’s missed someone so it seems to be somewhat consistent in missing people in the dark. During the day, you get bombarded and at night you’re lucky if it sees you and notifies you.
