And they can sit most anywhere as well as attaching them. There is a lag in the motion detection. The picture quality is good. Pixelates some. The app is easy to navigate.

I am trying to get an RMA from Arlo to have them replaced. Shame on Arlo for charging real money for this…stuff. I got so frustrated with the essential cams failing that I replaced them with a couple of Kasa cams. I am currently running 2x Arlo Pro 3, the surviving 2x Arlo essential and 2x Kasa (one outdoor and one indoor PTZ) Kasa is far less expensive per camera and I find them a snap to set up, we’ll see if TP-Link can outdo Netgear.

However the app is a freaking mess! Half of the time it doesn't work and half the time it does work you have to close it and log in 2-3 times. I pay for the Arlo storage but cannot access it about 60% of the time. What is the point of having it if I can't see events!?!?!? I will keep them since we have had them and the Arlo doorbell for a while. If I had to do it again I would definitely go with someone else though.

If you have a lot of flow in the cameras the battery drain quickly. You need to pay for Subscription after 3 months are up. Unless you have a base station which is an extra $100.
