Main drawback is that you have to pay if you want alerts and recordings. They give you a trial subscription.

I believe it has a lot to do with they app it's not the best app. I would never know the quality, the value, because it never came on and it never worked It never would connect with my Wi-Fi I will not recommend the Arlo home security outdoors camera

I did a TON of research before I chose Arlo. I needed a security system that was flexible, scalable and mindlessly easy. I have no regrets. I would like to suggest though, that the Arlo team reviews their online support content, because it "seems" there are some older "help" sections that may be in need of an update, or need added content to support the newer models. All in all, I am super, super happy!
