I love oh these cameras are working out so far. If anyone’s on the fence of getting these, the battery, life is good so far and I love the solar panel part.

Camera is nice when it works. Charging is an ongoing issue. Unless you have the solar and/or base unit, you will be charging your camera every 3-6 weeks. Bought the three pack and had one camera start to intermittently not charge within 6 months, then finally stop charging all together right when warranty expired. The camera will need to be replaced. Very disappointed on short lifespan.

These cameras work well and have great range. The magnetic mounts were more conveneint than these screw-on ones, however.

Love the cameras. It is truly quick and easy to set up. Audio is great and surprisingly loud and crisp. The audible siten can be a little louder as an actual alarm but as an extra deterrent it works great. There is some lag that could be due to network issues but overall it is a great starter kit and introduction to a smart home security solution.

we love this system...not the most high tech saavy person..yet this system was so easy to install and navigate..and just added a 3rd camera...the battery life is long between charges..and 3 cameras on my phone really does not overally drain my battery life..I added the spotlight camera to my driveway area and it works great...

A well written set of instructions might have made this a functional device. I’ll never know.It does come with a link to an extremely simplistic YouTube setup tutorial, which does not cover any info such as how to link the camera to more than one iPhone (following prompts within the app leads to a factory reset of the camera, meaning the set up process has to be repeated on the - first iPhone, which will then cause it to be removed from the second iPhone - an endless loop of frustration). There probably is an easy way to do this, but it is not readily apparent, and again - no instructions. Troubleshooting tips within the app were unnecessarily complex and not necessarily helpful. When I finally gave up and just linked the camera to one phone, it worked for 5 minutes, then inexplicably went off line. And again, in the absence of straightforward instructions or troubleshooting tips, I can’t fix it.

Arlo Essential Spotlight was a breeze to set up. I ordered 2 specifically b/c my other Arlo system was limited due to the distance from the hub. The Essential model connected to wifi with NO problem. Works great in the app, quick with notifications AND the picture quality is excellent.

I first bout that the Arlo 2 and had no problems so I wanted to add an additional Arlo in my garage. The Arlo Essential Spotlight doesn't work with my hub (I was not aware of that upon purchase). I tried for 4 days to connect the Arlo to WiFi. No luck. I was just about to return it tried again and finally it connected. It lags a bit more than the Arlo 2 and it doesn't come with a wall plug. However once I got it connected it works ok. I wish I knew it wouldn't work with my hub before I bought it. (While trying to connect the Arlo it asked me to buy a new hub/base).

Lets record everything. Its 2023 why not? I mean it has mkre benefits than negatives. The goof thing is it can help law enforcement if they need them.
