This camera is so much better than my previous camera. It’s brighter clearer video and very fast to respond when it sees a animal or person. The best part I like about Arlo is the fact that the camera or service rather will dial your cell phone to let you know someone is in your yard area or gate. Best camera for the money in my opinion.

Great little camera! After an attempted break-in, we needed something for our families safety. This was fairly easy to install and setup. I put the app on my kids phones too so they can see/get updates. Bonus- we got alerted to a little cat that likes to visit our porch everyday. The kids run out to visit her when they can. 100% happy buyer

With the app you can access any time from anywhere

You need to subscribe to their service in order to view videos. Many other cameras do not require that. You may think that having a Hub would work in lieu of a subscription but NOPE! In order to view videos from your Hub (usb drive), you need to remove the drive and plug it into your PC. You CANNOT view your usb recorded videos on the Arlo app.

This is an absolutely terrible app. It doesn't remember anything I tell it do. I set up my zone, smart notification(people, vehicles) and my library(people, vehicles). I get notifications for motion when I don't want that. I have to set the library over and over again. Smart notifications only work when it wants to. The camera eats the battery. The spotlight was coming on at all times when there was no reason for it. I tell the app to erase recordings, it doesn't do it. The camera seems to have a mind of it's own. Sensing motion, even though it is not supposed to, when nothing is there. I looked up reviews for cameras and Arlo was highly rated and recommended. I disagree with these reviews. The only positive is the picture is clear. I do NOT recommend this product.

Excellent coverage area. Motion detection is spot on and can distinguish between vehicle, person and animal. Would highly recommend.

Good features but battery life not nearly close to as advertised.

The camera is great. It was easy to setup. We use it to keep and eye on our dogs and the house while at work. It is a wonderful to have a peace of mind with the arlo cameras.

Very good image quality but there’s a small delay when watching live feed. But other than that, very nice camera

We added one Spotlight to a blind spot on the side of our cars and in our back yard. These additions are great because they do not require a base station and give our family the piece of mind when we are asleep or away from home. I removed one star because I have had these items falling into "offline" several times without a clear path to resolution without physically touching the unit (would require the ladder and going into the cold - if/when physically present).

This camera is an addition to the cameras I have. Simple to setup and the battery seems to last a very long time. I'm not using it in a real-time environment, so the other comments about lag don't apply to how I need this camera to function.

A major improvement on my Arlo wire free camera and the best home security product I have ever purchased! I feel safe knowing that I have Arlo monitoring my house and my neighbors houses! Thank you Arlo!

Just on the trial the spotlight features are great. Once the free plan expires I will have to think hard about local recording only where I would supplement with a ‘normal’ existing Arlo camera to see what’s happening quickly. With monthly fees, it soon becomes a decision to enhance the wired alarm system with cameras and move away from fancier Arlo cameras and systems (like pro 3) in the future, since I bought my original Arlo system years ago to supplement security.

I have the Arlo pro 2 system and needed a third camera so I bought the Arlo essential spotlight camera. It’s great as a stand-alone or part of your system. Has all the same features. Video and sound quality is great. The price was great for this camera as most add-on cameras are slightly higher.

Set up was easier than I thought it would be based on other reviews I had read. Still have to final place two of them, but moving them has been easy using the Google Home app. Would like to see a delete all option for the stored videos as I do not have a serious need to retain them after review.

The camera itself is good. Nice and clear video. However, the app and even the web page are horrible. I cannot erase multiple videos at once on the app, just one at a time. I can do this on the web page, however, I have to click several buttons to finally erase the videos. It is annoying. I have had to approve my browser several times after saying is safe several times. I cannot be signed in on multiple devices(phone, tablet), only one at a time. I get signed out of my app on the phone several times. With the so-called smart notifications the camera will still notify me when there is just regular motion when I don't want it to. I have to go into library itself and select only people and vehicles for example. App is poorly made and unnecessarily difficult to navigate. Very poor! Note: for the quality, value and ease of use, I am rating camera, not the app. It is hard to recommend this camera, because the app is so bad.

Super easy to setup. Don't know if it's free after free trial, but so far, so good!
