Love the size of this flood light camera. Big shout-out to the gurus that designed how it mounts to the bracket. Battery life is just okay. And unfortunately the Arlo solar panel, the plug does not fit into this camera. So I need to figure out a way to hard wire an outdoor camera, Other than that the camera works better than I expected.

Honestly wouldn’t recommend this product I’m currently looking at other camera options. First their customer service is absolutely awful and never help with anything. Cameras barely want to charge anymore if you are able to spend a little more go towards ring cameras or something better

battery dies quickly, wish it lasted longer than it does

My boss bought these cameras for our branch. For 2 months they worked fine. After that, the batteries kept dying very fast. when I tried to call them a recording said they were not open, even though their business hours are 6 a.m to 6 p.m. pacific time. I tried to get support through email. 3 days later I got a response asking for more information. When I spent 20 minutes gathering the information and putting it in, the website said the page was unavailable. When I tried to up load a document to their website it didn't work. i signed up to get their service after my 3 month trial, and they took money out of my account and did not send a receipt or an invoice telling me why they took out an add amount twice. There is no one to help you when you get a problem. Buy a camera from some real people, who will be there for you when you need them.

I hate my new Arol. The Essential Spotlight Camera is difficult to get set upl It is very sensitive. I have turned off animals, vehicles and all other motion and it still picks up cars on the street even when it is only partial and a dog in my neighbors yard. Can't delete large amount on Library.

We are new to using Arlo, but we like it so far. It was affordable and easy to install. Thumbs up from us.

well these are the first cameras i have ever gotten and they look so nice on 1080p definition. I ordered the arlo 2k hdr camera and they will look even better and it was relatively cheap costing me around 700 dollars. also i was trying to five stars but wouldnt let me for some reason thank you arlo.

Never worked properly. Protection plan was Not purchased. Arlo customer support recommended to purchase new cameras.

I purchased the Arlo Essential Spotlight camera after I researched for a reliable system that give me comfort in the protection and safety of my family. This system is also adaptable. I also purchased an ARLO Smart Hub so I can use it wit my Home Kit and use Siri & my Alexa devices.

Purchased this to help with keeping an eye on items a little out of sight. As soon as there is movement, the camera/light activate. Was worried about distance from router (about 150ft), but was like being right there.

This was our 2nd purchase. (1st Arlo was the Spotlight w/camera and after a few days the camera would slowly start to tilt downward.) Super small and very lightweight. No wires and was able to connect to our internet with no problems.

If you want this camera for recording motion during the day then go for it. The quality of the recording is good and it will continue to record motion until there isn't any. I bought these cameras for use during the night and they failed me. Around 8 pm they don't record motion and they don't start until around 5 am. My cameras are all on the armed setting and I even placed them on 100% sensitivity. Let me give you an example of what happens. In the day it records when I open the door and walk out and stops when it can't see any more movement. At 8 pm I open the door walk out (with my outside light on if it even makes a difference) and later I come back in to see if it recorded it. Not a single recording of me opening the door and leaving, but in the day it did record me. It also records vehicles that drive on the street in the day but at night it doesn't record the vehicles that drive by. I am thinking about returning them and looking for cameras that will not fail me at night time.

Worst item I ever wasted my money on. They worked fine for less than a month. Now they are worthless. Always off line, can't connect and batteries won't charge. Have 2 plugged into an outlet and they are off line also.

Easy to install and setup. Ran into some minor issues with charging, but Arlo support was able to push a firmware update and have had no issues since. Small MRC is you want to store any video, get alerts, etc., but fairly priced.

I've been looking for a stand alone camera for outdoor secruity. The battery life seems to be very good, although I have only been using it for a couple days. You have full control anywhere. I have already ordered a solar charger to make it maintenance free.

Currently these devices do not work - Arlo pushed a firmware update two weeks ago which disabled video on all Essential cameras, and have not released any updates or even a statement since.
