I've been using Arlo Pro and switched the the Arlo Essential. Upgraded from 720 to 1080p. Plus it has a spot light and siren that is activated by motion. Great little camera.

I have some earlier models of arlo cameras & was expecting this to be as good. I still use the earlier ones, but ended up returning this camera. It could not be added to my hub & would need it's own hub, otherwise you have to pay for the arlo subscription. Arlo should take a note from Euffy & let you add other models of their cameras to your hub. I now have a entire new system of Euffy incorporated into my home security along with Arlo. I have to say I still prefer the arlo app & cameras better.

Extremely happy with how quick and easy it was to install and get running. We did purchase a solar charger specifically for this single unit since it was running low every two days.

It’s a camera that works with the Arlo system perfectly. The new style does not have a removable battery as the older ones do. Super easy to sync with base uni.

So far I love my cameras.. Only thing I worry about is how they connect to my house. Alls someone would have to do is twist it off the anchors and they could easily take it.. So trying to come up with a solution to make sure that can’t happen..

LOVE these! Best Arlo cameras compared to the other Arlo cameras. This one has a spotlight if you want to use it. The charge is a lot longer.

I was leery on getting as I did not know if it would work with Base station or be independent app. It worked. I really like the addition smart notifications it has and you can actually hear the speaker unlike my older one. The light is not bad, I think if you had it in a barn or dark room, it would be bright enough to find something, and would give some light on a dark side of a house to prevent you from walking into something, but it is not going to be overly bright, you would need to buy the flood light if looking for that. Picture quality is great and I can just tell alexa which camera i want and it comes up fairly quick.

The arlo cameras my husband and I just recently bought were extremely useful when we went out of the country and wanted to make sure everything at home was intact. These arlo cameras come with a special app where you go to check your cameras at home. When setting them up, remember to set your arlo cameras to the same wifi you have your phone on when syncing them. Otherwise it could be a struggle to set them up for video. The app comes with multiple features such as flashlights, alarms, and even allowing you to hear AND talk through them. I would 100% buy a few more and make sure that all angles of my house are secure.

These are good cameras for the price. I have the Pro 4 as well and like always you get what you pay for. Only complaint I have is they do disconnect from time to time but I am working on improving my WIFI at home which could play a part in the disconnection.

Product works well but not as clear as higher priced versions. Only one complaint..... trial to dial in the frequency of motion to turn down. It picks up all the motions and we have already had to recharge units and have only had installed 2 weeks. Great value for the money!!

With the Essential Spotlight Security Camera, Arlo has made a simple to use, smart device to keep your home secure. This camera showcases picture quality in 1080p resolution and incorporates motion-activated spotlight and recording with instant push notifications to your dedicated mobile device, even at night with some brilliant color night vision. Setup for the Essential Spotlight Camera was far easier than other similar devices. Simply download the free Arlo app and follow the short instructions to turn on the device, set up your profile, connect to your WiFi, and get up and running. The camera comes with some very easy mounting materials - using a ladder and some simple drilling tools, I was able to install the camera outside of a second floor window to get a clear picture of the side of my house. The camera is weather resistant, and it's already sustained a good amount of rainfall with no issue. The camera is wire-free, an advantage such that I don't have to worry about exposed wires or drilling extra holes to hide them. And since the camera has such long-lasting battery life, the recharge cycle isn't expected to begin for several months. In terms of performance, the Essential Spotlight Security Camera works as expected and with some surprising features. You can set the sensitivity level for motion detection, whether you're worried about foot traffic in secured areas, animals in your trash, and especially unexpected security breaches. I especially like the bright spotlight that comes on when disturbed. For those with larger security concerns, disturbances can also trigger automated e911 calls set up through the Arlo app. There's also an optional siren that can be triggered if you need even more onsite surveillance notification. These notices get pushed to your mobile device instantly, and with the included Arlo Smart 3-month trial subscription, you can keep video record for potential disturbances. On top of that, you can set up the camera for package detection, which highlights specific areas being monitored compared to other areas within view. That way you can know exactly what alerts are being sent, especially if you are expecting a package delivery. Finally, the Essential Spotlight Camera can be used in conjunction with Arlo's other smart offerings, like its smart video doorbell, to fully integrate into your Arlo security environment in the Arlo app. It allows the convenience of all your security notifications and recordings to compile in one, easy to access place. The Essential Spotlight Security Camera provides peace of mind during installation, setup, and in use. Arlo keeps all angles under surveillance with a fully featured product that runs smoothly day and night, keeping you informed in an instant through the robust app and security subscription. Bottom line, the easy setup and top-notch picture quality make this a product worthy of your investment. Full disclosure, I received this product for my honest, unbiased review.

works ok but sometimes the view cuts off when there is still movement in my yard. i have to watch for the animals that come into my yard. viewing cars going up and down the street. sometimes cuts off within seconds and other times up to 5 minutes. Picture is good quality.
