    I typically have no problems with Arlo cameras, but I regret this purchase. This Essentials Spotlight Camera must be defective. It plays live audio even after I've exited the app and done a force stop. The charging port isn't compatible with any solar charging panel on the market. I installed it on the roof trim of my garage. It had to be unscrewed to correct it to the very short USB cord provided in the box .(You have to have your own AC adapter that works with that USB.) This means, I have to pull out a ladder to unscrew the camera and take it down to charge it. The low price should have been a clue. This must have been Best Buy's way of getting rid of an outdated product. I can't return it because I've missed the return window by a few days. Overall, I would never have purchased this "outdoor" camera at all.

    Kind of disappointed in how they work. I have contacted Arlo several times and they cannot help. The cameras record when they feel like it and stop when they feel like it. We have gone thru the settings and have them set for max time but they do not go past 10 seconds. There are several times when they do not even record at all. Battery life, we have to charge them every 3 weeks. The good is we have CenturyStink internet up in the mountains and they do work.

    One day and it had to be recharged…not my idea of ideal camera motion picture quality is excellent

    Really good quality thing. Show me good things you never see like before. Travel back in time 30 seconds, very confusing. I say get it. Break a lag.

    When they work they’re awesome! Unfortunately one of the 4 in the pack has a battery life of about a week. We’ve adjusted the zones and settings but I think the battery is just no good. We are on the fence about keeping them as you need a subscription service to be able to utilize all of the features. I should have researched more.

    I already had Arlo cameras, and this was a purchase to add more to my existing set up. They work perfectly together. however, after the free trail you will need to purchase an agreement with Arlo, or they will not take pictures on your phone. They just notify you of activity.

    2nd Arlo

    Like the previous Arlo, easy setup. This one doesn’t have the same battery life as my first, so I’ll just adjust it’s armed time. I’ve bought the skins you can cover them with when outdoors. I do like these cameras. Just wish the base stations were in stock because I would like to use them with HomeKit and Alexa.
