Don't buy for security

The record zone is only 10 feet away from the camera. Also, the app is absolutely horrible. When the camera connects, the person or object is already gone. When its quick, it takes 10 to 15 seconds go go live from the app. Then it locks up and I have to reset it. I bought it for peace of mind and all its creating is a headache. I had much less anxiety before I installed the camera because all I see is it not working. Also, it has a 3 month promo period and you have to put your credit card info in it and it charged me for the first month immediately. For the price plus monthly fee, the camera should work better than it does. I am giving it 1 more day and then I'm returning it. Bad buy from best buy. Also, its hell to set up.

This new Arlo Essential Spotlight camera does not give any amount of time free; it requires monthly payments to view videos. You'd think they would give last 24 hours free! Other than no free access to videos once the trial access is over, the camera itself had clear picture and worked fine.

My only issue is the range. Two of my outside cameras are unable to get a fairly strong signal. However this is more so a internet issue as opposed to a camera issue.

Do not recommend Wireless Arlo cameras

Quality could improve a bit, only inconvenience it's the 3 second recording delay, if needed it would not record instant sometimes important situations.

Main drawback is that you have to pay if you want alerts and recordings. They give you a trial subscription.
