    Security is flaky, Arlo support is worse

    A camera just stopped uploading security videos, for just one day. After two months of back and forth, no resolution or explanation. For the SAME case, a different support person responds every time and the case has been opened for almost two months. They don't read the case history and just cut & paste a stock answer from the web site. Even after you explain (multiple times) that you've already followed the steps, the next guy will say the same thing, then ask you to close the case. A security camera should not have gaps in recordings with no warnings or explanation. As far as I am concerned, this is an insecure product with terrible support.

    There are WAY better options.

    These were garbage right out of the box. My parents purchased this set for their home. I tried to help them set it up. We downloaded the app and followed the setup instructions to the letter and nothing worked. Then when we tried to contact customer support we were sent round and round before finally landing on, “you do not qualify for live support” because we weren’t paying a monthly fee. So right back in the box it went and back to the store. There are other great options out there without having to pay for the cameras and an ongoing monthly fee.

    Not a fan of this model. I ordered one to add to existing Arlo pro set up. It worked for an hour then would not connect. I’m returning it to Best Buy stick with Arlo pro

    The battery degrades quickly. After 2 months, each camera only lasts 5-7 days on a full charge. A complete waste of money, and completely useless.

    Decent product, terrible company

    I purchased the Arlo camera and base station from Best Buy and, for a while, it worked great. Then the company changed everything and requires mandatory two-step authentication making it a tremendous hassle to log in and view your camera. Foolishly I also went back and bought the doorbell which was a horrible bait and switch. You have to pay through the nose to use the cloud recording feature. The base station allows for a week of recordings but I expect that to go away soon.

    I definitely would not waste your money on Arlo!

    I bought the Arlo camera 3 pack. The cameras might be okay if your don't need any technical support. I signed up for the 14 day cloud storage and Arlo charged my card. The 14 day plan never worked one day! Arlo WILL NOT answer a call to their support phone number. I was forced to use email to attempt to resolve my problem. The issue is it takes at least a week (up to two weeks) to hear from them. When I did hear from them the help was a waste. Nothing I had not already tried.

    Avoid Arlo

    I have the Pro 3 camera system. It has OK video. But the Arlo app and software is terrible, buggy and 15 years behind the times. Amateurish 2FA implementation. Camera response time to triggering events is often around 60 seconds late, can even be several minutes behind, so not so good in real-time monitoring. Your stuff will be gone by the time Arlo lets you know your home has been broken in to. No real IT department at Arlo, mostly just call-center freshmen. Avoid. :-(

    Complete Garbage - Don't waste your money.

    Absolute waste of time and money. I ended up throwing my cameras in the trash (still under warranty) that is how bad the whole expierence has been. Their customer service is the so terrible. I don't even want to get into details on how much of a headace buying this peice of crap has been. You are better off buying any other camera brand!

    TOTAL TRASH DO NOT WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY

    An absolute nightmare from start to finish. Finish being I am ripping this garbage out and having Ring installed tomorrow. Unless you are a brilliant techie, forget this product. Horrible to install and then once finally installed, stops working and gives no alert. Total waste of money.

    Don't waste your money!

    This camera does not record anything after your free trial. You must purchase a subscription to record. Why sell a camera that doesn't record? The money maker is the subscription for them. Don't waste your money.

    2 - 4 second live stream delay

    We got this for a live view of our front porch. The live view streaming has a 2 - 4 second delay even though we have high-end wifi and a "strong" signal to the camera. Arlo support never got back to us and Arlo support site doesn't offer a solution. We're returning the Arlo.

    Cameras are Outdated

    Got these cameras as a gift and they do not work with dual frequency bandwidth. They are really behind with this stuff. Had no choice but to return as i did not want to choose to have a slower internet.
