There is zero sacrifice with these cameras. Not only is the the installation easy, the quality of the camera and video resolution rivals other cameras that cost much much more. I’ve tried a few different cameras and was shocked at how good these are. So far the battery life is on par with the estimated life. After struggling with wired cameras and limited places to install I went with Arlo. I’m happy I did.

Have bought several of these and they break. Good quality while they last which may not be very long.

Love these cameras, great quality looks like its only looking at one are but it his a wide view.

I am not very tech savvy, but these were even easy enough for me to do! I have all three of them up and the app makes it super easy to control. If I know I will be in and out at a certain door, I can turn the camera off with my phone until we are back in for the evening. The cameras were delivered quickly and I have been very pleased with them. The pics are very clear.

Good camera and good for your family protection because too much negative people's

I love my Arlo Essential Spotlight Cameras the video quality is great, along with the playback video. I had the Arlo 2 and 3 security camera, but it required a hub to connect to the cameras and didn't light on them. I love how the Essential Spotlight camera has a light on it and can connect straight to your wifi. You can speak through the two-way mic, and the battery life is longer.

Gives exactly what I wanted and expected clear view night and day!

We purchased this system as added security around the perimeter of our house. It does a great job of letting us know when deliveries arrive and/or other vehicles come onto our property. Cameras activate by motion and we receive an alert on our phones along with recording of what triggered cameras.

Unfortunately after five months of use I cannot recommend these cameras. On their own they do not stay charged for longer than a month. Even my camera that hardly has any activity does not hold a charge longer than a month and a half at most. I purchased the recommended solar panels, which helped keeping them charged, but does nothing to keep them connected. If you have even the slightest blip in your Internet service, the cameras will disconnect and to be reconnected they have to be taken down so you can press the sync button on the camera, and get them to read the QR code displayed on your cell phone and reconnect them to your Internet. That’s a little bit too much ladder climbing and interaction for my needs. Sadly I bought six of these things. And if you have the cameras up around your roofline forget being able to get a clear picture of anything on the ground at night. At least not with much detail. Maybe the more expensive Higher resolution Arlo cameras are better but I am very disappointed with these.

A few months later, the camera goes dead and it wouldn't charge. Had to use the factory warranty and sent it back after getting in contact with them, but it's a long process since they have to check the device and verify that it is in fact not working.. Better to buy the warranty from the store and not have to deal with them difectly.. Lesson learned..
