    Arlo as a system is not perfect. Their AI and recognition systems leave much to be desired. Nevertheless, this is a great camera for the money.

    Very hard to set up Customer service, or not very helpful, and seemed annoyed by the Asking so many questions what is the cameras been set up and send you an alert every single time is sees anything including birds, squirrels it’s very annoying with your phone going off every 10 seconds when something passes by the camera

    Battery life is good, camera quality is pretty good. There is a delay in recording and he app could be more simplified but over all the product does a good job.

    Love it. I like it’s two way and I can turn on/ off the spot light when I am ready. The picture is clearer. One down side. It eats up battery life very quickly.

    Great little camera. The spotlight isn’t super bright but does just enough to make the picture “colorized” at night. Arlo has really gotten better and better

    1080P is a little less but considering its price and competitors that the one. I wish i can buy pro series.

    Waste of money. It says battery life for 6 months whereas it’s does not last even for 6 hours. I have turned off all the notifications except people on each of these cameras but still battery draining so fast. Complete disappointment with this purchase.

    My first set of Arlo cameras worked great. I bought two. Later I added these and it said that they were compatible. They keep disconnecting and I am constantly rebooting them. My original two cameras work just fine still. So, I would not buy these to add to an older system like I did. My first system was the Arlo 2. Those working fine still.

    picture quality is great but doesnt swivel , non of their product line does. Battery life is short

    I had been debating between Arlo and 2 other cameras. I was so thrilled when the opportunity came to try Arlo essentials spotlight. I am so thrilled that I will get another for backside of home. My current one is facing front entrance and it has a wide view so I can see any motion nearby, delivery person, etc. I had a notice that my food delivery came, I checked camera didn't see anything or anyone. I called and explain my camera isn't agreeing to that so 1/2 hour later they sent another delivery which I could watch on my app. Pictures are clear, you can set sensitive level to alerts. I love that you can set spotlight to come on when it senses motion and you can 2 way speak to anyone nearby. You can also see late at night when it's dark. I like the security of screwing it outside my door instead of being magnetic. I hope it stays for close to 6 months without having to charge it cause I borrowed a ladder. To charge you have to unscrew camera and charge with USB, which is simple enough. That would be the only drawback because while it's charging inside I can't use it outside of course. But as long as it doesn't take all day to recharge it should be fine. Setting up camera was so very simple and they have tons of videos to watch if needed. It snowed this weekend and that didn't affect the camera at all, it worked just as well covered in snow.
