I believe it has a lot to do with they app it's not the best app. I would never know the quality, the value, because it never came on and it never worked It never would connect with my Wi-Fi I will not recommend the Arlo home security outdoors camera

These exactly fit the bill. Instead of cost of batteries I just plug them in and recharge them about every 6 weeks. Easy install and setup. Extra activity zones are a nice add as was the two way communication and the light. I added solar panels to the cameras that were far from plugs and they have always stayed charged up. Very pleased with these cameras.

Also you have to be super close in order for it to pick up. If you want to go in and get a live feed you have to constantly click live and wait for it to go live which by the time it does you’ve missed out. Again I can’t access any videos unless it decides to record. Don’t like it at all.

Posted .Hi Lanaanakk, The Essential spotlight camera battery lasts up to 6 months with Average use. Average use assumes that you are using Optimized or Best Battery Life video settings and that your cameras record for approximately five minutes per day. Too many triggers such as heavy traffic may cause the battery to drain much more rapidly. You can try adjusting your cameras positioning to lowering the sensitivity to a desired level to help with unwanted motion detection. Regards, Arlo Team
