If you got red amber that means the device is getting low voltage due to the transformer.

It seems to be hit or miss with detecting anything past the porch which is a bit disappointing...but hey, it is a doorbell so what was I expecting?

The view is to wide and when you narrow it down it is not consistent. The night vision on it is terrible. Needs a some work from the manufacture.
