    I have to give this 1 star...it stopped working after 10 days! Tried all the suggested fixes and no success. I love my Arlo cameras and sad that this video doorbell didn't work out.

    A product is only as good as the app you need to use it and the app is horrible. I will be lucky to get in the app to see my front porch. Extremely aggravated and if it wasn't past the return point it would be going back.

    NOT Truly HomeKit Compatible

    Save your money on this one. I got this doorbell because Best Buy's website said it was HomeKit compatible. That's only technically true. It's HomeKit compatible if you buy an Arlo Bridge. I might have done that, if I could find them for sale anywhere. Best Buy doesn't seem to ever have any in stock and Arlo's website is less than helpful in finding the bridge for sale. I returned this item.

    Would not connect and register

    Terrible doorbell camera. The installation part was not hard. However, connecting it to the WiFi and get it to register to your phone was extremely hard. It either couldn’t register the QR code from the app or could not be found every time I try to connect it. Thought it was a faulty one and did an exchange for a different one. Same thing happened. The Arlo customer support was terrible. Took almost 2 hours for them to answer the phone and when there was someone, the person had no clue what they were doing. Had to completely return this and bought one from google which works great with one time set up.

    Another Disappointment!

    I was told in store you did NOT have to pay a subscription but it required a FREE 3-month FREE trial registration to activate. WE DID NOT WANT ANYTHING subscription, free or not. So much for privacy lost! NO THANKS! When a company FINALLY markets a product that no one can have access to and is truly private, then you have something to sell.

    Had problems at the beginning and it turned out to be my internet. Had to change plans with the internet from then on everything is good. Very sensitive to birds. Lol

    Very slow app. Takes forever to connect to the live feed and to pull up the video when someone is at the front door. Audio is poor. I will likely switch to Ring at some point.

    This is by far the worst doorbell ever. Arlo lags, always glitchy and skips footage. I am amazed at the great reviews this product has gotten. When it works it works but it rarely functions. When recording it shows the beginning of the video, pauses with audio then show last few seconds of video. I want my money back

    Arlo has been a terrible company. You can't actually use the products without paying a monthly subscription and even when you do it doesn't work well. We unfortunately, bought several cameras and the hub, complete waste of money!!!

    Video doorbell never worked. You can turn on the video for monitoring but would never connect when someone rings the doorbell. Opened a complaint ticket with Arlo but was never resolved. They even sent a replacement but did not work either. They refused to offer a refund or credit. Classic example of poorly executed product launch that was not fully tested. Poor product and poor customer support. Bought Arlo for the good reviews, never again.

    Trumps the Ring

    Video quality is excellent. Took me ten minutes to install, whereas the ring took a few hours because it doesn’t offer variety installation parts like this one does. The night vision is far superior and exciting. I like that you can adjust the field where it’ll alert you since I was originally constantly getting alerts for passing cars on the busy road in front of us. My one critique is not having a little more control over fine details. For instance, what it alerts me to. I have to disable when my kids and dogs go outside because of the constant alerts. Haha. But it’s already helped me get my neighbor’s dog back home, so that was cool. Also, the fact that it can recognize the difference between person, dog, and vehicle is pretty dang cool. All in all, we’re loving it! After such a bad experience with ring (all the reasons not listed here, but just imagine everything good about the Arlo doorbell, the ring is the exact opposite), this is a huge relief.

    I bought the Arlo video doorbell because I already had an Arlo camera system (Pro 2) and Arlo lights. As just 1 more security camera, it works fine, no complaints. But as a doorbell, it’s really an audio doorbell as audio on a live ring is minimally adequate, but I get the live video feed on a ring only about 10% of the time, if that. I installed and monitored a Ring doorbell at my mother’s house and the live video was much more reliable. So I am very disappointed in the live video performance.

    Look into voltage of current setup in place before installing vs. what is required. Other than that, great product! Highly recommend. This is our second one for a different office location.

    You have to purchase the service to see your own videos after the trial period is over. We had it turned onto face recognition only, but it never worked it’s was always going off no matter what goes by our camera. So a tech issue. So we haven’t even had this six months and we are buying something else and this will be thrown away.

    Not super happy with this product. The video is choppy and 9/10 times once I finally have it up on my phone to speak to whomever is at the door, they’re gone. Not pleased.

    After thirty days you have to pay for recording making it basically useless. The Arlo 2 you didn't have to pay for recording, now you do. That makes it a much easier decision to buy another camera like Ring.

    motion detection start video recording late (around 3-4 seconds later) and poor video quality, also cannot watch live video stream on any google home displays.

    The hardware was solid and easy to install even with our ancient doorbell system. I truly hate the app though Arlo needs to figure out how to make versatile yet intuitive software.

    Just bought this yesterday and had it installed in 20-25 minutes. Super-easy to follow the instructions and install. Connected to my WiFi perfectly. Make sure you type in your WiFi network exactly as it is named (Caps, etc. matter) when entering it in to have the camera read the QR Code. Also, make sure you connect to your 2.4 Gig WiFi (assuming you have a dual router). I have 5 Indoor Arlo Cameras that have always worked great and this doorbell just tops it all off! Also important to note... after set up, allow a couple hours for any shared users to have full access. My wife is a shared user (for now, Just Kiddin’), and the Video Calling didn’t work until a couple hours later. Motion detection has been working perfectly (not overly sensitive to the cars driving by my street). Night vision is perfect (have it set to 75% brightness) and we are extremely happy with this WiFi Video Doorbell! The speaker at the actual doorbell is nice and loud. The option to allow a visitor to leave a message is awesome (the doorbell actually talks to the visitor and asks if they want to leave a message, then press the doorbell again). Awesome tech for a super reasonable price! Cheaper than Nest and Ring. I would’ve happily paid $250 for this! But the way I see it... I saved $100 OR it covers the $3/month subscription for the next 30 years.
