This video doorbell works well when you pay the $9.99 per month for the associated plan. Without the plan you are severely limited when adjusting the camera settings for you specific environment. The biggest challenge is tuning the sensitivity of the motion detection with the motion detection area limited to a square, versus a rectangle. Also the "motion detected" indicator is the flashing of the doorbell lights, which is very hard to see in a bright environment. A useful feature in the App would be to add feedback inside the application as well as the flashing of the doorbell lights.

This has a crisp video, with a responsive app. I am notified immediately. I hooked up to my Alexa Echo Show 5 and works flawlessly. I like I can talk to people at the door through my phone. It also works perfectly with my existing chime. Great value for the price.

Very nice doorbell cam. Great clear video quality. Love the customization of zones for alerts. Can easily set up for vehicle, package and people notification. Video is a little delayed.

Installed in about 1/2 hour at my 20 year old house. I'm impressed with audio and video quality and extra feature of using about a 5 second backup to record what happened just before motion detected! Much cheaper than Ring and others being advertised.

When you install this yourself, check your doorbell transformer. The Arlo Video Doorbell and it's Power Kit(the dongle that connects to your doorbell chime on the wall) have battery backup in them and if you don't have at least a 24v 10 amp transformer, they will not charge the batteries and once they die, the unit will no longer function. Of course this isn't stated anywhere on any of the paperwork included with the unit. You get to spend 92 minutes on the phone with their customer service to find this out. The subscription fee for the video doorbell is just a "money grab" by Arlo cuz it is not covered by the monthly subscription fee for your base unit or cameras if you choose to go that route. If you don't subscribe to the video doorbell service, you won't be able to record or talk to people at your door. The video doorbell doesn't offer local recording like the base unit does so you're forced to pay for a subscription to use the features on the unit. What could have been a great product, turned into only a good product.

The Arlo Video Doorbell works great. The quality of the picture is pristine and the customization tools for the alerts is a nice feature. We were looking for the right video doorbell after trying several and we would highly recommend Arlo to anyone!

The Arlo Doorbell was easy to install and provides us with peace of mind. The app and Arlo Smart are a great combo and provide great features that allows us to keep an eye on everything happening around our home! 10/10 would buy again.

So the most important feature does not work. The video call you receive when someone presses the doorbell does not work. Google Arlo Video Call and you will see how many others have the same issue. I love the device, but it is not ready. I hated returning the device, but if that feature does not work as advertised then what’s the use. You can try going through support, but I guarantee that all the factory resets, app re-installation, router channels and speed test will not fix the issue. Maybe in the future from 3/2020 they might release a patch, but at this time it is sad but nope. Great video, quick alerts, great motion detection, and great idea of interface, but that one that one thing made me return it. Good luck to Arlo pushing this forward as I would love to go back, but maybe next time, for now if you care for that feature then this is a do not buy.

Easy to install pending that your doorbell switched is powered. Did have to wait 13 minutes after I turned on the power for the round led lights to be solid instead of blinking orange and white. Great video quality. Fish bowl lens but you can see almost everything. BE WARNED!! You NEED to pay for 1 of 3 subscription plans in order for this Arlo Door bell to record video triggered by motion!!!! With no subscription you will only get live video if someone presses on your doorbell.

Had a few cases of stolen packages, after that I decided to buy the Arlo Video Doorbell. That was the right choice. After that, has been smooth and secure. Image quality is impressive and the advanced notification is on point. Perfect product.

Love having both security and a doorbell in 1 package. It helps me feel safer knowing i can see what is happening at home while I’m at work or away. The wide angle view gets my whole porch and entryway. Love it!

The Arlo doorbell works great and was easy to install however I do wish it would connect to my Arlo camera's to record so I wouldn't have to pay a monthly fee.

So very easy to install and setup with my current Arlo camera system. Had to use the additional mount for our particular entryway but it went very smoothly. Doorbell works great and I love the call feature and voice messaging. Great product!

Soooo Much better than the ring. Better Picture Quality, The Message and call function are awesome, the analytics are a very cool function and you can actually download more than 1 recorded video at a time unlike ring which is much nicer.

I have had a five camera Arlo system in place for more than a year. It operates flawlessly. I added the doorbell camera this weekend. Easy installation with well guided instructions in the app. Merged into existing system with no problem.

It seems much faster to notify us than our nearby Arlo camera. Was very easy to set up. I had to install a new chime and transformer as ours was wrong voltage, and was over 40 years old, so I upgraded the wiring, transformer, and chime.

Replaced my doorbell camera from the guys to an Arlo. Works so much better. Faster to pick up on what’s at my door. Sounds transmit clearly to hear what visitors are saying at the door. Picture is crystal clear. Thanks Arlo!!!

Wish I would have replaced my Ring years ago, so much more responsive, by the time Ring kicked in the people were gone. And the fact that I already had Arlo cameras made it even sweeter. Also much cheaper than the Ring.

I have had this unit now for almost two years and the last cold blast we had it randomly shut off, two days later came back on worked for one day and shut off again.... now being 40 degrees out it is still not working. I have troubleshooted the issue and it seems this thing is dead. Not sure why one winter this would survive and the second it decides to permanently shut off? Not sure I will be replacing with the same product this time around.

easy install easy set up and easy to add users for family share. Only issue is when i click notifications on my Samsung Note 10 Plus, it opens app and immediately closes.
