After a lot of research we decided on this camera and a week in I am happy. The installation is simple and easy. I took longer with distractions and being extra detailed, but time actually working on it was short. Quick drilling and the angled mount was clutch because of the position of the doorbell. If there is a knock it is because of where our house is and the camera is facing the entrance of the subdivision so a lot of vehicle and other motion alerts had to be turned off. Hard to complain that it is too sensitive because before we had no monitoring. This is more an issue of our location and the camera is doing what it is supposed to do. Very happy. And I could see adding a couple outdoor cameras for the front and rear coverage.

Bought this to replace a Ring Door bell. Overall, everything went great, but during the instaal, the app goes through updating the doorbell which is a bit glitshy. Also the motion sensor seems to start recording late, for example, all the recordings we have of the delivary man, are after he has dropped off the package.

I have never once thought I would ever switch to a doorbell like the one I purchased. I think It was a Godsend that I purchased it because the neighborhood group I am in had lost their dog and fortunately the dog had came up to my door and the doorbell notified me immediately that there was something that triggered the video and there was the dog and I was able to bring him back to his owner. Thank you Arlo

I got this as a Christmas gift and I was very impressed with the installation instructions with the step-by-step images and video...I did not need all of them, but very nice and clear for anyone and everyone. The app is pretty good as well. I have enjoyed my new doorbell for the week or so that I have had this installed. Definitely worth it if you are looking into a video doorbell.

Originally we had an Arlo camera over the front door but had someone run up to the door then quickly slip through an opening on the side so all I got was a flash. Glad that we replaced with a doorbell camera. So much better! Wide angle viewing and adjustable.

I bought the Arlo Wired Video Doorbell in May '21 it worked fine until it went offline. I live in Los Angeles and was out of town for Thanksgiving, there was a power outage in my area and my camera went offline. When power came back online my camera did not. I called Tech support which was not easy to find and they were mostly focused on signing me up for a tech support plan until I insisted it was ludicrous that I should have to buy a Tech Support Plan for something as basic as getting my device back online, then they hung up on me. I called back and a different person didn't know why someone would say I needed a plan for something so simple but she could not find the identity of the person I had initially talked to. Long story short, in order to get your Arlo Wired Video Doorbell reconnected you must delete the device in the app, then unmount and push a reset button on the back of the doorbell itself, then remount and add it back as a new device. BUT the fun doesn't stop there, you then have to log in to my.arlo from a non-iOS device, go to subscriptions - manage devices, find the device description AND THEN you must click on the description and DRAG & DROP it to add it back to your subscription. Anyway the Spectrum internet service went down for several hours last week and even though the doorbell had power and should have maintained the information that allows it to link to back when the internet is restored it sadly does not. I shouldn't be expected to do the reconfigure mambo every time the wind blows. It's funny how my subscription fee doesn't pause when the power goes out or my internet goes down. People don't buy tech items, especially security devices and expect to have to repeatedly reconfigure them.
