Where do I begin these cameras are way better then ring I recently changed to Arlo because ring wouldn’t detect what was going on around my house but arlo hands down is the best easy install great picture and the settings is hands down the easiest way to hid them never going back to ring sticking it out with arlo wireless doorbell

I have Arlo Camera so I naturally just wanted to add to the Arlo Eco-system. I thought that was a great idea but then i noticed that the system is slow. sometimes it doesnt connect to the app or even my Amazon Show device, which i specifically bought just so it could show me who is at the door when it rings. If economically i had a choice to switch my system to a Google or Ring, I would.

Easy to install excellent, easy to use recommended

I don't even know where to begin with how useless this garbage product is. I gave Arlo a chance because I had previously owned one of their indoor cams for open houses when I was selling my townhouse. That worked really well and was consistent. This battery/wired doorbell worked for about 1 day, and then the cycle of problems began. Motion detection is all over the place. Sometimes it picks up the delivery person early enough, but sometimes not until they're walking away. Can you see the potential problem with that? Incoming calls upon ringing the bell worked a total of maybe 5 times in the past year, all near the beginning of ownership. Arlo blamed all of this on my ISP, so to humor them I even upgraded my internet plan which also doubled my upload speeds, the main scapegoat they used. But guess what, none of that improved anything! The app is garbage, their support is obviously garbage, and I would never buy another Arlo product again. I would have returned it had I known the problems would become permanent, but Arlo support strung me along in the beginning because they would get things working again, and then 2 days later the problems would return. This broken promise of a product went through that cycle until I was passed the return window, which is what I get for putting my trust in this lackluster company. Buyer beware, the positive reviews either lucked out with their setups, or didn't come back to change their reviews after diminishing returns.

Great doorbell camera. Bought to replace an older model.

I also have the wired Arlo Doorbell, and this one is on the back door which didn't have wiring. Response time is good and the recordings sometimes look better than the wired Arlo Doorbell. I have had Arlo products for a while, but I think they may be pricing themselves out of the market with other brands having similar products at lower pricing. If you are in the Arlo ecosystem, then this is the one to get, but the wired one should be slightly cheaper and works with the Arlo base station. This one does not so you can't record directly onto the SD card in the Arlo base station if you have one. I have to charge the battery once a month, however, which isn't a big pain. You get fair warning when the battery is getting low.
