Clear video, just wish the notification received when someone actually rings the doorbell would be an option besides your cell phone ringing like an incoming call. Install a little difficult to figure out compared to Ring, and I’m a pretty tech savvy person. I think Ring’s activity range of movement pick up is better as far as distance from camera.

The camera provides a clear, wide angle view that can be adjusted to activate and record only the desired area. Ability to talk to and view someone through my phone is a great security feature.

This is an update to a review from about a year ago. The doorbell works well, HOWEVER, you may want to add a bracket or something to the doorbell to keep it there if you live somewhere that gets storms. Last spring, about 4 months after getting it, we had a heavy storm with strong winds. The wind ripped the camera from its holder and shattered the lens when it hit the ground. Unfortunately, my stupid self hasn't canceled the subscription yet. I am reminded every month when I see money was taken from my account for something that hasn't worked in about a year. It's good and useful. Just figure out a better way to secure it.

I live in an apartment and needed wire free camera. This device had everything i was Looking for and has great visuals and sounds. There is a 10 second delay but that does not bother me or my family. I was Able to grant access to my significant other who can also view on his phone while away.

I have only had the doorbell for a week but I already feel far less anxious knowing that I have this. The video quality is impressive and it loads quickly once you're alerted about motion.

I live in an apartment complex. The camera quality is GREAT! It alerts me every time someone is passing by or in front of my door. Also the app is great and well set up.

This is a mixed bag. While the hardware is great, the Arlo app is awful (3.2 stars on Google Play) and even the website is extremely buggy. The software matters in the experience. There's also a delay when a person talks and when you actually hear it. However, Arlo is the only system with both IFTTT support AND Google Home support.

Quality-wise this is a 5 star product but I'm knocking a star off for the negative. I'll start with the positives: - The video quality of this product is much better than the other top competitor (Name rhymes with "Bing"). A relative has their doorbell and they were shocked at how much better the quality of the Arlo is. - The responsiveness is excellent and the operation flawless. - The image recognition is awesome. For example, it will put in the alert whether it is an animal or person, and this recognition is spot-on. That competitor's product doesn't do that. Now for the negative and I hope Arlo is reading this: I couldn't get the app to "find" the doorbell. I looked closer at the directions. You will need either a router that works at 2.4 ghz or an Arlo base station. Even if you have a base station, you need the 2.4 ghz router temporarily to update the doorbell's firmware to work with the Arlo base station (which I have and did). I can't switch my Spectrum modem manually to 2.4 ghz and even walking down the street to where it would switch to that didn't work so I dug out a 2.4 ghz router I had in my closet and temporarily hooked it up. Jeez. So here is a suggestion to Arlo: Spend the 3 bucks to make this product work with a 5 ghz modem to save others the frustration because 90+% of the public doesn't have the know-how, patience or a 2.4 ghz modem lying around to do the firmware update. I would do it again because the quality of the competitor is show stopper for me but this shortfall is surprising considering the product is absolutely perfect in every other way.

The doorbell was easy to install. Setup was quick. The steps were easy to follow. I did have to press the reset button in order for the doorbell to be recognized to sync with my phone. There is a bit of an audio and visual delay when the button is pressed, even with a powerful and close modem/router using 2.4ghz for wi-fi. The camera has a wide angle lens and picks up most everything. You have the ability to adjust the motion detection area and video recording area. I have to charge the battery at least monthly as I live in a high traffic apartment complex. But that is easy to do since it's just outside the door and easily accessible.

Before I decided what brand of a video doorbell to buy, I contacted a family member who has extensive training and experience with video and audio technology. He told me Arlo was very impressive to him and stood out from its competitors. And although this is my first video doorbell purchase, I’m very impressed with the build quality, video and audio capabilities. We have a neighborhood pig who visits and the doorbell camera differentiates her from a person every time - amazing technology. The Set-up was a breeze and the Arlo app is user friendly and easily navigable. I would recommend this product to anyone looking to buy a wireless video doorbell.

Decided to get this after my other Arlo cams missed a delivery of a package, which I believe got stolen. Install was very easy and took a few minutes. So far I've been pleased by the design and functionality of this doorbell, which I installed on an old house with no wired doorbell. I've only had it installed for a couple weeks and haven't seen any problem with it being battery powered. Video quality is pretty darn good and covers my entire front porch. I now adjusted the position of my other Arlo camera to see when anyone walks towards my house, and then this captures anyone walking up onto my porch.

When I made this purchase, it was one of the few trusted(by me) wireless doorbells out there. We currently have arlo cameras and this seamlessly integrated with our existing system. Installation was pretty easy and I was able get everything going very quickly. If you are purchasing accessories (i.e. additional mounting backplate) be very careful to get he wireless version. This doorbell is thick and will not fit and not compatible with the wired version. In the end, great product, excellent picture, easy install, and wireless all contribute to the reasons why I rate this 5 star. Time will tell if it holds up to direct sunlight :)

Great viewable area. Easy to recharge. Nice way to send away solicitors without going to the door. Prefer this over the Ring...every vserion.

MUCH better than ring. Does not freeze, clear picture, and easy to install. Had a Ring for 3 years and had issues. Bought a new one, it would freeze and difficulty talking to people. Bought the Arlo and put them side by side to evaluate and Arlo won hands down. We did this at 2 different homes at same time with same results. Only gave a 4 due to lag in connection time. I feel they should all connect in under 5 seconds.

Easy to install , Easy to remove . Camera vision is top quality . Sometimes its just annoying as it senses everything and my phone keeps beeping Jajaja

Great quality doorbell camera. A slight delay with app live veiw. Connects to alexa home and phone notifications.

Like the video quality and its app friendly. But battery runs out too quickly. Need to recharge after a couple days of use.
